Description

The Gekai by French knifemaker Charles de Buyer embodies pure design and precise craftsmanship, a true example of "haute coutellerie."

Known for his minimalist approach, de Buyer creates knives that focus on high utility without unnecessary extras. This fixed-blade knife features an all-steel construction with some intriguing details. Jimping on the back of the D2 steel blade ensures better grip, while the nail nick and pronounced ricasso add a touch of style. The skeleton handle, much like the blade, is sturdy 4.8mm thick steel, with two large cutouts at the end that reduce weight and double as lanyard holes.

The Boker Plus Gekai comes with a custom-fitted Kydex sheath and belt adapter.

    Boker Gekai

Posted by Jez on 14th Aug 2025

This an excellent knife especially for the money, it is compact, cuts extremely well and is small enough jus to to put into a cargo trouser pocket. The handle is long enough and well shaped enough to hold it rock steady, I have big powerful hands, but I don't find the small size a problem and I have used it to open envelopes and parcels, but also for some wood craft, it copes with both extremes easily, Highly recommended.
