Not 1095 steel
This is a lovely knife aesthetically, but I purchased specifically because it was 1095 carbon steel as stated in the description. Unfortunately this is not the case. it’s a stainless steel, I noticed after the blade didn’t react to some food. Bear & sons have the others listed as 1095 but this particular model is not. I would have returned the knife if it wasn’t such a hassle for HH as I’m an international customer and they’ve been nothing but great. Good knife but be aware this is NOT the steel it’s advertised to be. The low rating is largely to grab the attention of would be buyers.
