Scrimshaw is the name given to scrollwork, engravings or carvings done in bone or, once upon a time, ivory. This Rough Rider Scrimshaw set includes all you need to create your own designs using the Rough Rider White Bone Trapper knife included. It is even supplied with a guide book and thorough instructions for the beginner.

The bottle of ink had dried up solid so could not use kit. Good penknife.
Sadly disappointed with this. Quick dispatch but when I opened it the ink had dried. Contact HH and was told to add drops of water to it. I did that but then the ink was too watery. I let HH know but got no follow up reply. Gutted as this set is now useless

The box alone will appeal to every outdoorsman alone.ordered 10 pm on wed, night arrived 2.30pm via Royal Mail on Thursday ! After opening it I immediately thought that it would be even better to scrimshaw a Nautical knife so went on line to order a bone rough rider Marlin knife Too. My wife brought me this kit for Christmas, it's a great knife worth the money alone , one tip think out your design carefully and scrape it lightly, the only drawback was the Indian ink had dried up in the bottle but there was enough in the bottom for the design, another great H H product
Again first class delivery from HH. Superb kit, knife is excellent solidly built and well finished, should make a really interesting engraving project, knife alone well worth the cost of the kit.
The knife alone is worth the asking price. A great gift for anyone who likes doing not watcbing, any age from 8 to 80.
Great bit of kit, was bought for a friend for Christmas. Only problem was it never came next day, it never came at all to my address and was sent to the newsagents (this is the drop off point for UPS). The driver didn't even knock nor did he leave a card. I had a 1 mile return trip to collect my package. I was informed by a nice lady at UPS the the driver had done a lot of this "dumping" off packages rather than deliver them. If I had known it would of taken this long and that I would have to walk 1 mile to collect my package I would of paid standard delivery. Knife is is great and well worth the money, it will keep my friend happy for many hours. Have only given 3 stars because of the delivery not the item.
