The Rockstead Shu model is inspired by ancient Japanese craftmanship and sword making traditions passed down through generations. The blade is ZDP189 and like all Rockstead knife blades has qualities in the steel like no other. It is an incredibly hard steel with unparalleled edge retention and will not need sharpening with normal use.
The UME has scales which are DLC "prism" coated titanium featuring traditional Japanese ume plum blossom decorations and a slight colouration. The blade locks with a newly developed button lock system which performs like a dream. It is supplied with a removable pocket clip.
