The Mora Eldris Colour of the Year 2026 (S) is a compact outdoor knife made of Swedish stainless steel with a ferro rod compatible spine. Easy to carry in your pocket, backpack, or tool belt, it’s just as useful for everyday tasks as it is for carving, cutting branches, or starting a fire. The colours Orsa Sandstone and Dala Red draw inspiration from the pink-tinted sandstone of Orsa, which for over a thousand years has been used to sharpen tools and shape craftsmanship.
Colour of the Year 2026 unites Morakniv’s craft tradition with the colors and design language of Dalarna. Orsa Sandstone and Dala Red reflect the meeting between the sandstone’s light, natural tone and the classic Dala red – a tribute to craftsmanship and history. The 59 mm long blade in Swedish stainless steel (12C27) is 2mm thick and has a ferro rod compatible spine.
With an Eldris in your pocket or pack, you always have a small but capable companion at hand. It handles everything from carving and cutting smaller branches to creating sparks with a ferro rod in the field.
The molded TPE rubber handle features a textured friction grip for secure handling even in cold or wet conditions. The symmetrical polymer sheath fits both right- and left-handed users and can be combined with the Eldris ferro rod kit and belt loop (sold separately).

Made in Mora, inspired by Orsa
Since 1891, Morakniv has crafted knives with the same uncompromising focus on function and durability. The Color of the Year concept celebrates Morakniv’s craft heritage and Dalarna’s color culture – inspired by Orsa’s sharpening-stone history, where generations of craftsmen carved and shaped the pink sandstone that once honed tools far beyond the region.
