Douk Douk Petite Folder

Arrived with a decent edge, easily and quickly optimised with stropping. The design is nice and slim, the blade makes the most of allowable EDC dimensions, and the pocket weight is minimal. As to the simplified build, the other reviews are informative; you have a pretty good idea of what you are getting. The backspring on this one is just right, medium firm. It is actually possible to open my Douk Douk Petite with one hand with a bit of practice. Not rapidly, but it is doable. Another reviewer recommended a Fallkniven pouch, and it fits well, protecting both pocket and pocket knife. For a collector, this is an interesting addition. As a daily user, for the normal day to day tasks (but never for prying), this trim folder is ideal. It does well as an impromptu feast dagger, too. I’m very pleased with this purchase, and would happily recommend. Another HH success story!

Always been curious about these knives, so I bought one. Next day delivery, great service HH. Well, it is small and very slim and it fits nicely in my wallet. Good strong back spring, sharp blade OTB. It is rather roughly made, almost crude you could say. But there is something about it I like. I would not want to pay any more for it. In fact the larger ones are very overpriced for what they are, IMO. You can get a much better knife a lot cheaper than this, but if you are a collector you should consider one.

Edge rather rough as received, but greatly improved by a couple of minutes work with a chef's steel.

Rites of passage knife for the budding traditional enthusiast. Opinel, Svord, Higonakami, Victorinox, Mercartor etc. I like all of the above ... The douk-douk is not disimilar to the Mercartor - it's a bit smaller than the UK legal mercartor. I like this knife more than i thought i would- good sharpness from the factory. In this age of super steels It's still got plenty of utility to offer, nice and slicey Fruit, letters with ease. Fit and finish were excellent on mine - A thin knife it is surprisingly comfortable to use for smaller bursts of time and sittable tasks - that strong back spring makes it feel (within reason) safe to use. If you want one as a user or a collection piece - worth it imo. Long live the douk-douk! Thank you.

Knife is very stiff to close and the handle and blade design had a few imperfections

love love love it, so much character! no hesitation at all in recommending this little slice of history. the action is solid enough on mine that i feel perfectly safe using the loop with a neck chain, makes it just about the perfect neck knife as it's legal carry (though the blade shape may turn heads), low profile, and weighs next to nothing.

Sharp, simple, easy to pocket, quirky, classic, non tactical, not expensive. Instantly my new edc. HH service as good as ever

After having the full sized Douk Douk I was so impressed, I ordered the petite knife. Again not disappointed. I ordered a Fallkniven FH9 pouch as well and the petite fits perfectly. Keeps the knife fluff free and pockets don't wear. Once again HH service was outstanding. Ordered on Monday afternoon 1st July and they arrived Tuesday morning 2nd July.
