The Boker Plus Kihon DC is a Lucas Burnley design that channels the spirit of Kihon into this utilitarian blade.

Burnleys interpretation is a folding knife that is practical, smooth and reliable. The blade is a satin-finished drop point forged from resiliant D2 steel. It glides open with smoothly afforded by a ball bearing pivot and assisted by a firm thumb stud.

Locking the blade in place is a crossbar lock sat inside a high-strength GFN handle that is a mix of smooth and textured plastic. Accenting the black handle are orange anodised rings around the blade axle screw and handle screw that add a flash of colour to an otherwise simple design.

The Boker Plus Kihon DC comes with a lanyard hole and convertible tip-up wire clip

Nice substantial pocket knife. Weightier and beefier than my aluminium Bugout, but not so oversized as to be an issue. Came shaving sharp, well centred blade, can’t really go wrong for the price! Might pick up a second one.

    Really Good Value

Posted by PALLEN on 6th Feb 2024

For the price, this is one of the best bang for your buck pieces out there at the moment. It is sturdy, and well made with a good lock-up, it is a bit rough in/out of pocket but makes a fantastic beater/work knife. I do recommend this for anyone wanting to pick-up a good crossbar lock on a budget.

    Very nice all-rounder

Posted by Ryan on 29th Nov 2023

Bought to test as a gift for my father who needs it for a survivalist event. Easy to open and close with cold hands, good grip whilst hands are wet also. Crossbar locking mechanism is solid and overall the blade length and style make it very useful for a variety of daily, bushcraft and survival needs. I removed the clip on the reverse (which can be placed on the opposite scale for ambidextrous usage) which is the only amendment I've made. I'll be keeping mine and getting him his own so definitely would buy again.

    Boker Plus Kihon

This is a very solid knife that has exceeded my expectations. It is heavier and slightly bigger than I realised, due in some part to the solid steel liners. I did have to apply a few drops of light oil to the mechanism, thanks to a squeal when flicking the blade open. Now the action is perfect and the knife opens and closes smoothly. For the price I don't think this knife can be beaten.
