    The best knife I own

Posted by Frank on 4th Oct 2020

I own about 20 knives, including five from Spyderco. I know that this is a lot less than most people who will be reading this. I also know that a lot of you own knives that I would consider hugely expensive, whereas I have never paid as much as £200 for a knife. I really envy people who live in the US, as prices are much more reasonable over there. Anyway, the Resilience. I bought a Para Military 2, and I love it, but every time I have a job to do, it is the Resilience I reach for first. It feels great in my hand, and I prefer the lock on it over the PM2. I have discovered that knives don’t have to cost an arm and a leg to be great. The Resilience is my favourite, but there are other great knives out there for well under £100. Try looking at the Ontario Rat 1, or the Cold Steel Ranch Boss 2. It’s nice that those of us with limited means can still join in with the knife collecting brotherhood.

    Good knife for the money

Love this knife but the steel could have been D2, but for the money its a very good knife, would highly recommend

You get what you pay for

Posted by Jim on 19th Mar 2020

On the whole the knife feels good in the hand, sharp out of the box but doesn't keep its edge for long 8Cr13MoV8 is a budget Chinese made steel, its not overly difficult to resharpen but after every couple of uses its a pain would have been a far better knife if the blade was M390 like the Kershaw link or D2 like the Ontario Rat .

    GREAT KNIFE!

Posted by Marc on 18th Feb 2019

Brother bought be this knife a couple Christmas's ago, and i have to say, what a great knife! I use it for kitchen duties because it is a large blade. If i go camping it comes with me always. Makes short work of veg and small game. Holds an edge reasonably well and is easy to sharpen. Cant go wrong at £64!

    Perfect Budget Slicer

Posted by Mari on 3rd Nov 2017

Smooth open and close function straight out of the box, pretty good build quality, sharp enough . All I had to do was just to change the pocket clip position. Please note it is LARGE folder! But it still fits in any of my trousers pockets. I ordered this nice piece of technology when it was on back order for 44£ only, Hainnie kept me notified all the time about the expected delivery time and then on Friday I received email that the knife has been dispatched , I received it next Saturday morning !!!!! Thanks Heinnie

You get what you pay for...

Posted by Roland on 25th Feb 2017

Nice folding knife for the money but there's a reason this is about an 8th of the price of its kin. The steel , the knife comes sharp but doesn't stay sharp for long! I used this knife for 6 months as a gralloching bleeding knife only, so no contact with bone etc. On deer which shouldn't be that demanding on a knife. Could not keep this knife sharp without a lot of work which should not have been necessary with some decent steel . Would be a 5 star if made from VG10 or CPM S30V or something similar. But then it would be twice the price....

    Brilliant value blade!

Posted by James on 26th Oct 2016

This is another great spyderco, a large , sharp, usable tool. Fast opening for its large size, superb fit and finish and a reliable blade lock. It is large and would suit more brutal tasks and less delicate work. I highly recommend especially at this great price.

    Excellent knife!

Posted by Simon on 19th May 2016

Fancied a large folder for some time, so decided to give this a try. What a knife for the money!. Rock solid lock-up, huge blade and great fit and finish. Absolutely delighted, next day service from HH. What more can I say?. Bargain!.
