    excellent bowie I did not have the problem with removing it from it's scabbard very sharp having collected schrade knives for years and never let down . HH service excellent royal mail slow I ordered a knife from an other company on the same day and it got here 4 days faster .

    Beastly, well made, budget knife but it is essentially welded into the sheath. After several failed attempts and not wanting to flay my wrist I tried using a hairdryer, hoping that heat would dislodge it but to no avail. After about 20 minutes of fruitless effort the thing finally and very suddenly came free, flew out of my hand and landed on the flagstone, damaging the blade. Luckily no one was hurt. Good value for money, safety not guaranteed.

    Try warming the sheath with a hairdryer or heat gun (be careful!). Re-seat the knife and chuck into a sink of ice-water. Have beer, remove knife and sheath, dry and lubricate the same.

    Love my Schrades

    First off....I have multiple Schrades, all purchased thru HH. With a service like theirs, why would you go anywhere else. Secondly, I have never found anything drastically wrong with any of my Schrades, so as long as they keep producing fantastic quality pieces for very reasonable prices I'll keep buying them. Unlike other reviewers, I've not had any problems with the sheath and knife retention/release. It is tight enough that I don't have any rattle but not so tight that it doesn't release when I pull it. It came razor sharp OTB, is definitely a beastie, but sits so comfortable in my mitt with excellent balance. This one is the Schrade Leroy, it matches my Schrade Jethro very nicely both in size & comparative weight. Just waiting for a Schrade Gibbs to come along now. (NCIS related link). Once again, excellent service by HH, another marvellous pocket knife from Schrade he-he. Please keep 'em coming.

    Great knife, only problem like Steve mentioned the sheath is extremely tight, I actually took some of the coating off the knife when removing it from the sheath so yes be careful!! Otherwise very big and intimidating sharp knife. Excellent value for money.

    Sorry I forgot to say the sheath is so tight so be careful when you draw the knife otherwise you could do serious harm... Health & Safety Zzzzzzz!

    This is a ridiculous knife!!! When I received it from HH in their usual professional and timely style I thought why on earth did I buy this knife? It's ludicrous and totally impractical so I thought well at least I haven't wasted too much money on it and put it away. Then I could hear it crying to me... lol! (don't panic!) so I got it back out again & fell in love with...It's wild but amazing so get one for fun... I'm happy to give a more constructive opinion but you don't need it!
