The Nextorch C Star Headlamp is an innovative multifunction hands-free LED light. It can be worn as a neck light or a headlamp. Either way it is very easy to attach to your person...no faffing with buckles or straps just throw it round your neck or on your head and angle the light to your preference.

As a neck light, it shines a dazzle-free light below the eyes for reading or any other close up work. You can now move freely without worrying about dazzling others. The C STAR can also work as a pressure-free headlamp with a 180° rotary light head.

Made of engineering plastics, the C STAR is durable and weighs only 64 g / 2.26 oz including its built-in 640 mAh li-ion battery. What's more, C STAR has 2 red light LEDs for signaling.

For the money it’s a very good buy. As a headlamp it’s not that comfortable. Hanging it round my neck I don’t know it’s there. The ends of the band can be interlocked to make a closed loop. The light is a daylight-white extremely even and remarkably wide flood. Full power is 170 lumens, good for 2 hrs it says, low power 20 lumens for 11hrs and red for 18 hrs. Whether the light is on or off it’s a long press to get to red. There doesn’t seem to be a way to access the red light without going through the white light first. There’s also a red blink mode, approx 1Hz. There’s no appreciable heat build up. Recharging from flat takes about 2hrs 15mins. The way electricity bills are going I might be using this around my neck this winter instead of turning on the lights.
