The Mora Companion Stainless Fixed Blade is the ideal 'use and abuse' knife for the pack or pocket.

Mora knives are cheap to buy yet tough in use. They use a tough plastic handle and sheath but really work above their weight where steel is concerned. The Mora Companion uses a stainless steel which is super sharp plus the handle and sheath are brightly coloured meaning it should never be lost if dropped.

    hit mine with a hammer

Posted by Keith Peckett on 9th Sep 2023

I have owned the same companion knife for the last ten years, it has withstood some serious use. originally the knife was purchased as a cheap bushcraft blade but after using it extensively I have come to give it a deep respect because of its rust resistance , blade retention and ease of sharpening. Dont be fooled into thinking stainless steel is bad, mine will perform at a level the carbon version does but without the rust problems. I recently camped with it and we had some hardwood to break down for a fire, I didnt have a baton so used the roofing hammer out of a friends van to smash some dried hardwood down into kindling, the knife took some dents but it didnt break. My most trusted and time honored served knife now does duty at my allotment for cutting down plants and string, an absolute legend of a knife for the price of two pints in the pub.

    Mora Companion Stainless

You just can't go wrong with a Mora. Cheap as chips and a great knife. I have a carbon steel companion and got the stainless for food prep.

Fantastic knife in the market garden

Posted by Grant on 21st Sep 2021

Chose the luminous version, as I kept losing my opinel. The scabbard is great, clips onto your belt, it's light so does not pull down and keeps the knife safely tucked away. It's also easy to pull out and put back in when your hands are full. It's sharp and comfortable to use. At the price, it's a no brainer.

Good knife at a disposable price

Posted by Graham on 24th Jul 2021

I tend to get through knives by using them for things and in ways they were never intended to be used. For that reason, I tend to buy knives at a price that it doesn't matter if I break, bend, twist or otherwise cause harm to them. These knives fit that bill perfectly. That's not to say they are poor quality, quite the opposite. I've paid more and got less. They are simple but, very effective and the ones I've owned have held an edge well. No complaints. The orange is very orange though..... Heinnie Haynes have, once again, proved their worth. Late order on Thursday night, delivery on Saturday and I was told when it would be delivered. Great service.

    Great value

Posted by Mark Gee on 16th Jul 2021

I have not had the opportunity to use the knife fully in a true field situation but first impressions are that it's typically Mora in its outstanding value and good quality. The knife is sharp, not razor but then it doesn't need to be for most tasks. The handle is very comfortable and the rubber grip prevents slip in the hand.

    Unbelievable

Posted by SimonL on 27th Oct 2017

As a sea fisherman, I bought one of these as a bait knife for my tackle box a couple of years ago and it has been simply unbelievable. It has been subjected to sand, salt water, rocks , complete carelessness and abuse. The orange colour makes it hard to lose and the total resistance of the blade to saltwater (even when left for a couple of weeks half immersed) is simply astounding. It cuts bait/scales and guts the catch (when lucky) and it survives the dishwasher when I can remember to chuck it in. Best knife I ever bought.....it's gone from cheap function knife to a well cherished tool
