Kizer Vagnino Zipslip G10

This is a great UK legal knife that feels very robust for its size. Fairly easy one hand opener and a nice safe feel with its finger choil and positive slip joint mechanism. Highly recommended.

I recently reviewed this knife after only living with it for a short time. Consequently, I feel I have underestimated and undervalued it. The build quality is incredible and it will complete the majority of edc tasks, effortlessly. It feels great in hand and the action is sublime. My only minor gripe is, it's not the greatest slicer, but that's what secondary carries are for. Ignore my previuos review and don't hesitate to buy this knife.

This knife looks and feels the part, but flatters to deceive. It's comfortable in hand and is reassuringly weighty. However, the back sprung is weak, so the finger choil is an absolute necessity. My main issue, is the blade. The thumb hole does allow for one handed opening, but it is cumbersome and ultimately much easier to pinch open. Finally, this is far and away the dullest blade, I have ever experienced. It will sharpen, but doesn't hold an edge. There are far better knives for the money.

I collect UK legal pocket knives. The first thing that struck me with these kizer zipslips is they look and feel top end. The fit and finish is immaculate. Sharp out the box, one hand opening, finger choil for extra security, non locking zipslip mechanism. The only downside really is they weigh more than the likes of the UKPK or Urban but for me this isn’t an issue. Cracking knife. Probably my favourite EDC.

You are not going to find a more practical knife as UK legal than this. About as large as you are allowed but in proportion. Decent effort required to fold it and a half way closed stop. Good inset pocket clip. Whats not to like.

U had to return mine as the internal spring that is, in this knife, in place of a standard back spring, snapped and fell out - leaving the blade swinging freely in its pivot pins. The clip had snapoed some weeks earlier after I'd bent it accidentally, and tried to bend it back. Don't bother trying to do this! HH sorted a replacement knife under warranty for me no trouble at all. It remains to be seen whether I had a dud, or if it's because knives have been made with more robust back springs for years for good reason! When working, this is a lovely EDC knife, very tactile, with an addictive sound on closing that's hard to describe. One-hand opening fiddly but doable with practice. Clip, when intact, well placed and very practical.
