Part of the Kizer "Mexican Blanket" range, otherwise known as the Serape series, the Kizer Serape Original features a brightly coloured G10 handle modelled on the traditionally coloured weave of a Mexcian blanket.

The Original is a compact folder with a button lock mechanism and a black coated 154CM stainless steel blade.

This special addition includes a collectors pouch, cloth, dog tag and a bead.

This lovely mid sized piece is only hitting the 4 stars for one reason and that is the blade coating. If you’re like me and are not really a big fan then trust me this will only increase your dislike for blade coatings!! This one is very easily scratched and I mean easily scratched personally I don’t really care about it as I will just end up stripping the blade off but that’s not the point for anyone else that’s looking to buy one. Absolutely everything else is as sweet as a nut fit and finish are bang on the money, blade it bang down the centre with like wise excellent quality blade grind. If the blade scratches are a thing you want get bothered by then don’t worry and go for it! If they’re however then this will for sure get into your head faster than you would normally expect. Bearing in mind I don’t mess about babysitting my blades so it might just be me and the get in there and do what you are made for attitude that didn’t do the coating any favours. Whatever you lot have fun and enjoy your day.
