Mark Stotesbury is a designer based in South Africa who hand carves his designs into wax before transferring them in resin moulds which then progress into rubber spin cast moulds. His designs are cast in zinc and then electroplated in Antique Copper and Antique Pewter which gives them an aged finish.
The Hippopotamus is the largest species of land mammal after the three species of elephants and the white and Indian rhinoceros. It is still threatened by habitat loss and poaching for their meat and ivory canine teeth. These bead designs are available in copper or pewter and have a 4mm hole running through them.
