The Rough Ryder Reserve HedgeHog (Pattern 005) is a modern take on the Muskrat pattern designed by Andy Armstrong.

It's an equal-ended cigar pattern jack with a D2 tool steel sabre clip point blade at one end and a Wharncliffe blade at the other. Both blades have a brushed satin finish, match strike pulls, half stops, and heavy swedging.

The handles are black canvas Micarta with a nickel silver Triple-R Arrowhead shield. It also has nickel silver pins, brushed steel striped bolsters, and brass liners. It's 9.7cm closed and comes packed in a collectible Rough Ryder Reserve Tube Tin with a Rough Ryder Reserve microfiber cleaning cloth.

It amazes me how they can do this, an absolutely beautiful knife in their Reserve Range at an amazing price, razor sharp out of the box, fit and finish flawless, this certainly will not be my last purchase of a RRR, I looked at Case but for the money and quality I will keep with RR, and a great service from HH thanks.

Fantastic knife solid build no gaps no blade wobble, anyone thinking of buying a case knife don't do it buy one of these rough rider reserves

I was a bit hesitant about paying this much for a Rough Rider, but I need not have worried, I new I was on a winner as soon as I opened the tin. This is a beautiful solid and sturdy folder, made in the old traditional style. Both blades are perfectly aligned with strong back springs and solid half stops. No play in either blade. The fit and finish is as good as the GEC knives that I have and better than several of my Case knives. Then there is HH's legendary service. Ordered late afternoon and at my door the following morning and that is Wales to Scotland. All in all, a good solid working knife that is now my favourite EDC. Grab one while they are still available.
