Pathfinder Bottle & Nesting Cup Set

When I first received this I was really impressed with the build, weight and design of these two items. However, having used it for six months or so, off and on, the bottle has leaked twice. You have to really screw it down tight and I've lost confidence in using it somewhat.

Firstly, HH still badass and deliver the greatest service hands down. So I have been looking at this product for a while and found it on Amazon originally for £50. So I come to HH as my go to supplier and find it on the site with a mass amount of great reviews, so to me - sold. I have taken it out on the ground and yep, superb. My MRE kits fit nicely for cooking, cleaning is easy and no leaks from the bottle lid with the silicone gasket. Lid to the mug, great fit and love the drainage holes. 5 stars and highly recommended.

Firstly , hats off to HH once again on delivery. Ordered at 16:10 on a Monday, was holding it by 10:15 the following day. Other site take note ! So, I had been looking for a robust stainless steel bottle and cup set for mostly wild camping ( we are spoiled for choice here in Scotland ). Decided to take the plunge and go for this combo kit. I am so glad that I did. This looks to be bullet proof !!! Good quality SS, nicely finished. Secure non leaking cap. Wide mouth , great for shallow streams . 32oz is measurement used for most water treatment tablets , so no faffing about with measurements. Cup is excellent, really good fitting lid. Has vent holes in lid and two opposing slots , these line up with the two small holes at top of cup, hey presto, you can hang the cup over a campfire and use that in conjunction with boiling water in the bottle. Win win ! Bottle nests nicely in the cup, about 40% of bottle above cup rim, nice balance . If you want a snugger fit then place a bandana, or such, around the bottle to help with any rattle ( probs for the Rambo and Ninja Brigade, :-) )This kit will last a life time I reckon, easily. Very satisfied with it.

Exellent value for money item and looks like it will last a lifetime , much lighter than my billy can and at 32oz bottle is ideal for water purification , also on another note about hh they are without a doubt the fastest most reliable service i have ever used and i will deffinatly be a customer for much longer .

An excellent steel bottle and a cup . It is build for life. I received it today and used it only a few hours , but I am not disappointed . I love that I don't need to remove any rubber seal from the neck or plastic handles and I can use it on an open fire for boiling water just by opening the lid. The lid itself is very sturdy and it seals the bottle without any leakage. I strongly recommend it for bushcrafters . An excellent service and delivery from HH as always.

The bottle and the cup is a great alternative to the crusader cook set with the added bonus that it comes with a snug fitting lid.. Well worth the price and I know that these products are going to give me many years of service plus it's compact enough to fit in a day bag,, a great quality product and with the superb costumer service once again from Hennies you'll not be disappointed in getting the Pathfinder bottle and cup...

I am a great fan of the Crusader Mk1 steel mug and Osprey plastic water bottle for being out in a canoe or with Scouts. The advantage this Pathfinder set has over the other is that you can boil water in the bottle, adding to your speed of processing drinking water if the source is suspect (as it often is). It's worth buying the "fish removal hook" thingy so that you can suspend the bottle over a fire too - or make one from a coat hanger, but that can be suspect, depending on your skills - mine aren't that good. I've had a set for a couple of years now and use it regularly when out and about. I still worry about the handles on the cup as they don't appear to be as robust as the Crusader Mk1 mug handles, BUT they have never let me down so I'm probably just worrying. The mug lid works well and is a bonus when cooking. The whole set up fits nicely in a Maxpedition tube bag, with space for a travel sweets tin full of Oxo, soups, steritabs, etc underneath. That allows you to add extra kit such as a millbank bag to the external pocket plus extra food. When a Mora knife is added to the webbing, the whole set - bag, mug, bottle, hanger + extras - makes a very useful set for Scouting, canoeing and other outdoor fun. Not as cheap as some, but worth the extra for all the above reasons.
