The ideal daily utility knife for the pack or toolbox. Mora knives are cheap to buy yet tough in use. They use a tough plastic handle and sheath but really punch above their weight where steel is concerned.

The Mora Companion uses a carbon steel which is super sharp.

    fantastic

First off, Heinnie Haynes delivery speed was brilliant, paid for standard and got next day delivery. The blade itself is shave sharp and is now paired with my Robust in my bushcraft bag for a proper field test next weekend.

    ouch is right

I was bought this knife as a present 3 days ago and what a knife. It has honestly, the sharpest blade I have seen, and when you consider the price you pay for it, you simply can't go wrong. Because its a carbon blade it needs looking after so I'll probably get a stainless blade for using with food, but if your thinking of getting one of these, dont think, GET ONE. THERE FANTASTIC.

    its not just cheap...

The updated legendary Mora Clipper. 10cm blade length; 2cm blade width and 2mm blade thickness (not 2,6mm). Weighs 115g. The carbon steel Mora uses is the best I have ever tried of all steels. I own a lot of more expensive knives from Fallkniven, ESEE's, Becker Knife and tool, Enzo trapper in O1 and D2 tool steel, Finish Ranger Puukko.... But I keep coming back to Mora's knives. This model is one of their best with its almost fulltang (3/4 stick). But the 521 and the bushcraft Force is also great (Heinnie does not sell the 521). To seperate a blade from Mora ABS plastic handle is not an easy task. They handle batoning very well. I have batoned them for years (espeacially the 521). Just don't hit the handle with the baton which can loosen the tang in the handle making it possible to pull the handle off the tang if the blade is stuck in a log. It's possible to rehandle the tang in the field by hammering a fresh 1 inch thick birch (the best) branch onto the tang.

    Highly recommended

The quality of the knife, the sharpness on arrival, the value for money and the service from Heinnie Haynes are all the best I have ever encountered.

You can't afford not to own this!

Upon recieving this item, I was initially surprised by the simple quality. For less than 15 quid, you're getting a real work horse. It came out of the sheath pretty sharp, but after spending about 30 seconds on an old style oil stone, it had the edge of a surgeons scalpel. I reckon this knife could shave the eye lashes off a flea. I'm actually a little scared to use it now. It would be great for general bushcraft or a good addition to any tool box. Highly recommended. As always heinnie, thank you for the top class service. keep up the good work

Very good knife, only one complaint - why don't they make a left handed sheath.

    Excellent knife!!

Posted by Dr Forinor on 20th Feb 2012

Now I don't have the fortunate benefit of comparing this to a more expensive knife, but I have carved wood with this, batoned wood, made feather sticks and your general knife duties when camping and it's still sharp. Not razor sharp as when it was new but still sharp enough to perform well. Very light, very comfortable, very sharp, very cheap, very capable, very good!!! I would even consider buying a second one and as for Mora, definitely will be buying the brand again without hesitation.

    OUCH!

Fantastic knife for the money. Be careful tho, it bites. I'm not saying it's sharp straight out of the box, but I did the paper test & it sliced cleanly through the paper & through my finger that I had managed to get in there as well. It cut through my knuckle to the bone with ease. Fantastic quality, & for the price how can you possibly go wrong.
