The ideal daily utility knife for the pack or toolbox. Mora knives are cheap to buy yet tough in use. They use a tough plastic handle and sheath but really punch above their weight where steel is concerned.

The Mora Companion uses a carbon steel which is super sharp.

    Great bang for your buck!

    Posted by Makingthecut97 on 15th May 2014

I love everything about this knife! Its so comfortable and grippy, it looks great, it has a nice sheath, its super sharp and no to mention its less than £10 price tag! What isn't there to love about it? It holds a great edge for a long time and the scandi grind bites deep. I was comparing it to my esee 3 and honestly I probably prefer the clipper, the esee is certainly stronger but I think you'd have troubles breaking a clipper, the clipper fits my hand slightly better and the grind is defiantly better on the clipper. I would rather have 13 clippers than one esee for the money! I cant recommend this knife enough!

    Great Knife.. Great Price..

These knives cannot be beaten for quality at the price. I get a new one every two years, to replace previously abused versions.. Top bushcraft kit! Top Heinnie Haynes!!

    Great buy

Posted by joseph on 30th May 2013

I bought this as a general use knife I could use in the field and not worry about losing or damaging it. First thing I would say is that the blade is exceptional, cuts really well (razor sharp) be as rough as you like and it still takes it, also very easy to sharpen in the field too. Just a bit of olive oil on the blade is all you need to keep it tidy. I will but several of these in the coming years I think :) Big thanks to HH for getting it to me so quick as well... Top guys.

Posted by Jonathon on 2nd May 2013

This is a great knife. It came very sharp, it's light, well balanced & feels great in the hand. Excellent value for money. The service was fast & HH let me know what was happening with my order the whole time. Thankyou HH.

    Why buy anything else?

Posted by David on 16th Mar 2013

This is a hell of a knife for the money paid. It's nice and sharp, very light, looks easy to sharpen as it just has one bevel. Nice grippy handle, good sheath. The only flaw I could see is that the top of the blade is a little rough which contrasts with the rest of the blade which came super shiny like stainless steel. Good delivery from Heinnie also.

    you got to like plastics

Posted by Troels on 15th Jan 2013

This is one tough knife. It has a 3/4 hidden tang which worries some people but the high-end plastic handle (kind of ABS plast) is tough. The knife can be batonned without problems just don't hit the handle and you will never have problems. The thin 2mm scandi blade is great for cross grain batoning due to its great penetration. The best part of the Mora knife is the fantastic high quality Swedish well-tempered carbon steel. I have not found a better true carbon steel in any expensive knife. I like the sheath for its practicallity.

    Absolute bargain

Posted by Dee Ball on 17th Dec 2012

Have been using this knife for 6 months - bought it as my handcrafted Karesuando was getting a battering, but actually prefer this knife for real-world use even though it's 1/8 the cost! Edge can dull relatively quickly and the carbon blade obviously corrodes (which can be an issue on longer outings), but otherwise faultless. Unreal value!

    Mora Companion Carbon

Posted by Simon on 18th Sep 2012

Arrived today with the usual Heinnie lightening speed. I don't really know what to add to the other reviews, it's just a great bit of kit for the money. Some aren't impressed with the sheath, but being so light, I find it'll clip to my elasticated jogging bottoms (no belt) without trying to pull them down. I'm often without a belt around the house and garden (I've reached that 'dress for comfort' age) so this is quite a plus for me. In fact, despite looking plasticy, the sheath (like the knife) has been well thought out.
