It's back!!

The success of the Lansky/Mikkel Willumsen World Legal knife has given birth to another fantastic addition to their World Legal category: The Madrock.

The Lansky Madrock is a slip-joint knife. Blade doesn't lock, but is instead held by a spring, which allows the blade to fold when a certain level of pressure is applied.

Design upgrades include: same blade length as the original World Legal yet with a shorter overall length and reduced weight for an enhanced everyday carry experience, and an inwardly curving blade. The handle features a low-profile deep pocket clip and a tactile rubberized grip that resists slipping even when wet.

This knife fits the UK friendly carry definition as it has a non-locking blade which is shorter than 7.6cm in length.

Good cutter doesn't slip away from objects despite short blade thanks to karambite like shape

    lansky madrock world legal

purchased mine on here probably over 2 years ago now, very happy with it ,great size for general use ,nice folding mechanism ,probably the only slipjoint knife i owned thats not shut on my fingers, its not a knife to really sit and whittle wood with and as it has a very thick blade you wont find it will be razor sharp after a year or two ,but for general use its superb ,still going strong 2 years on .

Gave it 5 stars because I like it. Bit stiff opening but I like that as well. Grips really well and pretty light. Very sharp nice blade. Will not be everybody's cup of tea but certainly is mine. Top marks to H.H fast delivery as usual.

Nice knife but comes with issues

Posted by Derek Henderson on 18th May 2023

Firstly this is a great looking knife and ticks a lot of boxes. However the main issue for me was it's a difficult knife to open and at one point I felt like it had almost got stuck half open. These knifes are know for being stiff but there's stiff and bordering on near loosing a finger slipping trying to open it. I almost returned this knife due to it being extremely difficult to work with on the opening and closing of it but decided to try slightly lubricating the joint and it's worked a treat. Yes it's still stiff to open but I'm now nowhere near as worried about cutting myself trying to open it up fully now.

    LANSKY MADROCK WORLD LEGAL

Excellant sturdy work knife, don't let the plastic put you off.. Good all weather knife, Extremely well made, sharp out of the box and feels really stable in the hand..I've been using this daily since I got it around a week ago and the blade is still nice and sharp 10/10 from me.. Well worth the price!

A very good cutter whose only downside is that it might make policemen faint if they see it in public. Otherwise, UK legal to carry

    Well made

Great for the price picked this up just to see what it was like. Feels weighty in the hand and has a very solid slipjoint. For the money you just can't go wrong. Comparing it to my £80 spyderco manbug that I bought at the same time you realise more expensive doesn't always mean better. Although I will probably use the world legal as the manbug is just for the collection. I only ever seem to use my slipjoints as it doesn't matter if I forget to take em out my pocket haha! Worth having if you don't like to use your more expensive collection for packages etc!

    Lansky Madrock

It's hard to believe this knife is world legal, even though it is. Like the previous reviewer, bought on a whim. Unlike his, mine came shaving sharp. Only slight downside is be careful where you use it, it's rather intimidating once open. Eyebrows will be raised !! That said, I love it !!

    An illegal looking legal carry

Posted by BigNorthumbrian on 22nd Nov 2022

Bought on a whim, very comfy handle, very positive slip joint and lots of interesting angles on the blade. The blade is centred and pocket clip feels reasonably sturdy. Only minus point is it’s as blunt as butter knife, definitely the bluntest knife I’ve ever bought from HH. So apart from the edge it’s a great knife for under £30, and should work well cutting shrink wrap and cardboard once it’s been sharpened.
