Fan of the neck knife? Check out the Kershaw Dune.

As a backup knife or an easy-to-access utility blade, neck knives are becoming a top choice for many knife users. Not only does Kershaw's look awesome, at 3.8 inches, the Dune’s blade is longer than other neck knives, providing more usable slicing area. It also has a tanto tip ideal for piercing—as well as a blade design that gives it an unmistakable style.

For solid reliability, the Dune is a full-tang knife and has textured, glass-filled nylon scales that make for a lightweight and durable knife with a secure grip.

Naturally, the Dune includes its own molded sheath that snaps the knife securely into position, yet releases quickly when needed. The Kershaw logo “K” molded into the sheath lets knife users know they’re carrying the best with Kershaw.

    Kershaw's Spike

Posted by Daniel Sharpe on 25th Jul 2024

I bought this as it was discounted and I am glad I did. Clearly Kershaws take on the Cold Steel Spike, this is sharp enough out of the box to slice a soft pepper but it's main strength, pardon the pun, is it's piercing ability with the very strong tanto -ish tip. The full and extended tang handle with FRN scales and a lanyard hole is certainly very slim and flat but more than big enough for my hands and I am 6' 2". The great triumph here is the sheath, it's one of the best I have ever seen. No superfluous side grommits in kydex making the sheath two or three times the width it need to be, this is wrapped tight around the blade, flush, as skintight as Bruce Dickinson's stage trousers during the 1980's. I love the sheath.

    Kershaw dune

Posted by Paul Blunden on 9th Jun 2024

Disappointing. Glad I didn't pay full price for this. My first knife was a Kershaw leek so expected much better quality than this, also needed quite a bit of work to get sharp. Has a decent tip but as others have said the handle is too small and lacks enough grip to put much force behind piercing tasks. Shame as I liked the concept and at a glance looks pretty cool.
