Description

The Fenix LR40R is a high output ultra compact rechargeable LED searchlight which is powered by the included Fenix 12,000 mAh Li-ion battery pack or 1 to 4 x 18650 batteries. With 12,000 lumens maximum output this is one serious lighting tool in a small form factor at only 154mm long x 80mm head diameter. The Fenix LR40R is a great LED torch choice for Search and Rescue Teams and Outdoor Contractors with its small size, long run times in long range spotlight mode and durable waterproof construction.


Fenix LR40R features 2 beams which can be used individually or combined.



  • Spotlight beam: 4 brightness settings with 1,000 lumens Max and a beam range of 640 Meters

  • Floodlight beam: 5 brightness settings with 11,000 lumens Max and a beam range of 410 meters plus strobe and SOS functions

  • Combined beam: 12,000 lumens max with a beam range of 773 meters

  • USB type C fast charging refills the battery in 3.3 hours (with suitable mains adapter - QC3.0 protocol required. Charging cable supplied, suitable USB charger required)

  • USB discharge function - top up your phone! Eco and Low spotlight modes still operate while discharging

  • 4 x LED battery level indicator in front of operation switches (operates with included battery with the light switched off. Single click either switch to activate)

  • Lock out function to prevent accidental activation. Press both buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to lock or unlock the light from the off position

  • Digitally regulated, maintains constant brightness (dependent on temperature and battery level)

  • Holster included


Please note that due to the small form factor and high power, the highest output settings (flood light) are temperature limited and will gradually downshift to lower outputs as the light heats up. Typically around 1.5-2 minutes of run time is available at Max combined setting before downshifting occurs. Max is available again after the light cools. See run time graph below for performance at continuous Max output and all other power levels.


For search use the 1,000 lumen beam can be used for extended periods whilst the 11,000 lumen floodlight will brightly illuminate a large area for approx 35 minutes (2 minutes at 11,000, 33 minutes at 6000 lumens )

    So many brightness options and can combine spotlight with floodlight or have seperately. Decent weight to it and extremely well made. Durable amd holds its charge well. We are using it daily (approx 45mins each time) and have charged it twice in just over 2 months. My go to torch now. Highly recommend not only the torch but Heinnie too. I am a repeat customer and will continue to be.
