U2 - a world first!

The Fallkniven U2 is the world's first folding knife with a blade of laminate powder steel, the innovative Super Gold Powder Steel, SGPS.

Powder steel is extremely costly and difficult to work with, and requires advanced technology in combination with experienced knifemakers. The advantage of this steel lies in its outstanding edge retention: there is simply nothing to compare today. The slim handle consists of strong composite material, which makes the knife light and pleasant to carry.

With blade grooves on either side, the knife is completely symmetrical and is as easy to use for right-handers and left-handers. The traditional lockback function offers no unpleasant surprises, but locks the blade in its open position with a distinct reliable click.

Small, unassuming, muted even. But once you open the blade and use it, well it slices through paper, plastic and cardboard with no problems. It's a bit of a sleeper. I'd really like to see a UK EDC version.

Great poxket knife

A great little pocket knife. Looks sturdy and well made. Was razor sharp out the box. Lightweight and fits great in the hand. Has become my main choice for at home box cutting, letter opening and general tasks. Wish they would do one styled the same as a slip joint as that would be perfect and suitable for carry.

A slow burner!!

This knife arrived being the 2nd most expensive knife I'd ever bought. And being honest I was rather underwelmed. And considered returning it. But then I used it. I was stunned by its quality. It is comfortable in the hand. The lock is reassuringly strong. The knife is light in weight. Though not a steel geek. The blade is incredible. It cuts and keeps on cutting. I have not felt the need to even strop it yet. It is now my favourite pocket knife and I carry it more than any of my other knives. An absolute beauty of a pocket knife.
