Fallkniven SK18 Erna 18

Really lovely blade. Hair popping sharp, fantastic steel, really nice handles. One small issue, the wood was quite dry. So I treated it with some food safe mineral oil which worked really nicely.

Leading up to my wedding, and the inevitable task of selecting numerous paraphernalia. Perhaps the most interesting part, for myself being a knife fan, was the wedding cake knife. Looking at various websites with my wife none of the wedding cake knives seemed to fit the bill for me, then as an inspiration moment (which didn't take too long), I thought of Heinnie. It was at that point that I saw the Fallkniven SK18 Erna, it was perfect, it had everything I wanted, the looks, the blade steel, the carry case and even the brand. I showed my wife and she promptly agreed, a quick e-mail to Heinnie confirmed that they had stock, a cheeky wedding discount, and the knife was ordered. For our special day, we couldn't have chosen a more special knife, whenever we have cake, this is the only knife that we reach for and reminds us of our perfect day. I honestly do not think that there is any knife in my collection that can bring back so many memories of joy that this one can. Now, this knife is sold as a portable barbecue knife, but just like any knife out there it can be lent to any use.....at this point, I would just like to stress not a pry bar or hammer......you know who you are out there!!! Heinnie were fantastic with this order, and communication was constant throughout...... it was getting a little close to the wedding day!!! So I just wish to say another big thank you to Heinnie for contributing to my fantastic day.
