The Civivi Altus is a hardworking pocket knife that with an attractive burgundy G10 handle and blackwash blade. Ambidextrous thumb studs allow one handed opening and a button lock secures the blade in the open position and also allows the blade to be closed with one hand. The blade is made from Nitro V steel with a black stonewashed blade which not only gives it superb edge holding capacity but also makes it stand out from the crowd.

Superb bang for the buck

I purchased this knife on a whim given its price a year or so ago, and it's turned out to be one of my favourite knives out of my collection. Lightweight, good build quality, smooth opening action, great lock, and closing action. The blade is easy to sharpen to a very good edge, and stays sharp for a good length of time. Got me looking at the Damascus version now.

I was after a pocket knife that locked, that was light, not too big, without a liner lock and that I could open and close with one hand. I really wanted an Otf but that’s never gonna happen here in the UK. I already had an old Smith and Wesson SWAT tanto but that was heavy and had a liner lock, also had a CRKT M16, gorgeous knife but again fiddly liner lock system. So it was after much research going to be this or a bug out. Glad I got this, the engineering is superb, everything is straight, square, no wiggle on the beautifully profiled blade. Nothing will ever be perfect but this is a lovely knife and it’s about as close as you can get to being perfect.
