Very good quality genuine leather knife pouch. Beautiful manufactured piece of leather work. Will eventually mould to the individual knife being kept in the pouch/sheath If leather seems a bit reluctant to mould to your particular knife, then simply treat the leather with some good quality leather treatment. I can definitely highly recommend this product. 10/10 Rating.
Bought this along with the barlow, does fit you need two hands to remove it! Once on a belt becomes almost impossible. A few reviews mention soaking in hot water so will try that next. We'll made, but too small hence 3 stars..
My goto EDC pocket knife sheath so far has been the incredibly versatile and secure MKM Magnetic Leather Sheath. Then I discovered this baby. To be honest, I've looked at it before and could never figure out how and if it might work. So I just gave it a bash and it's blown me away. Other reviewers have mentioned that it's a tight fit. I have tested it on a few of my knives and I can confirm that it fits the following knives straight out of the box: Case Bone Sodbuster Junior, Viper Key, Lion Steel Jack 1, and the Boker Stockman. They fit snugly and securely. So if your knife has the same sort of width and length, it should work. Some reviewers have complained about it not fitting their belts. I'm wearing it with a 40mm wide, 2mm thick, pliable webbing belt. That's about as wide and thick as you can go belt-wise. It fits horizontally on the belt and is a super practical, snug and discreet little baby which makes reaching for the knife an absolute pleasure.
A pocket knife is indeed a very tight fit inside this sheath but after a soak in warm water and the knife re-inserted it soon stretches to a nice snug fit. Belt also a tight fit, but it will loosen up over time. Reccomended overall.
This knife sheath is somewhat smaller than I was expecting. It is however well made and very sturdy. I have a small Laguiole with a 2.5" blade that is a snug fit but anything larger won't go. The sheath also struggles with wide belts. It just fits a 35mm leather belt, but once fitted you cant even squeeze a bic lighter in the sheath. A small Victorinox or, as mentioned previously, Opinel may fit, but if your knife is bigger than the aforementioned bic lighter, find an alternative.
This simple design will hold a variety of small folders, with varying degrees of security. The problem I have with it is that it doesn't fit on ANY of my belts, most of which I bought from HH, so pretty useless for me really.
The sheath is soft and supple after a good going over with leather dubbin, the Rough Rider High Carbon Canoe will fit but it fits so tight that you will not remove it while it's on your belt, and in your hand you will swear at it. Over all it's ok but too small for the High carbon knife from Rough Rider. PS the Opinel 6 and 7 fit this and are a far better fit overall and not leave you looking like you've done a big jobbie .
I bought this for my small Schrade Imperial Sodbuster, and it's like it was custom made to fit it. it's a simple but ingenious design, well made with good materials. I haven't treated the leather at all, so yes it's tight, but as it mounts horizontally on your belt you need a tight fit to be sure your knife doesn't slide out. The belt loop also keeps everything tight and it only moves when you want the sheath to move.
