This is a P-51 style can opener rather than the P-38 so a bit larger than what everyone seems to use but they are both pretty much identical in function and take up no room or weight in a kit plus its better than beating your can of chilli againts a rock
tried these can openers yesterday used both and still would not cut through the tin they are not any where near the quality of the genuine MOD issue that I used when in the forces, save your money and buy an old fashion civvy tin opener
Got to be the most under rated piece of survival kit, takes up no room and does exactly what it should do. 2 openers for £2, how can you go wrong
Got shown these by a girl from Finland years ago.....these are everyday use in many kitchens. She could open a can quicker with one of these, than I could with a fist full of normal can opener ! Got these as small prezzy from my sister...opened a can with them last night...I'd say they are superior to the victorinox can opener ( which we all know is great ). These are easy to master, cheap and above all light...even has a lanyard hole...
These can openers don't look much, but they work better than many found in the kitchen. Ideal for mobile workers who have to carry their grub and eating irons! Expect an order from me 8„¢)
It might not look much, but it does the job, and isn't that what counts? Do slip a loop of cord through that little hole in the end and tie it to a zip-pull on your ruckie or bergen though, cos it's dead easy to mislay
