Boker Plus Wasabi Carbon Fibre Folding Knife

So happy with this little boker plus. The quality, as always is excellent, and the finish on the raw carbon is beautiful. Great size to carry in an EDC wallet or pocket without feeling small. Well worth the price in my opinion.

Very fast delivery, lovely knife, well balanced and easy flick out one handed unlock, legal Carry knife, will be great for everday needs, something different to your standard uk pen knife with the Japanese vibe. Cuts clean and precise when tested out of box on to paper. I would not hesitate to recommend.

I have bought a lot of knives from Heinnie Haynes, and irrespective of price, I have to say, the Wasabi is one of the best. the fit and finish is exemplary, I had none of the problems some customers experienced, it's a fantastic knife, to me, it looks custom built, for £57-95p, it's an absolute bargain, ( iv'e got knives costing six times as much, and they don't come anywhere near this little beauty, buy it, you will not regret it. By the way, if your looking for a suitable leather pouch, try the mala small pen pouch ( 12 centimetre ) fits to perfection with or without the pocket clip for less than a fiver,

The knife is really nice. Mine is really sharp too. Nicked myself twice using it on jobs at home. Which is a very rare thing for me. The blade does not lock or hold itself open against a spring for example, hence the mishaps and not recommended as an Every Day Carry knife. It is different from any of the other knives in my modest collection and the Japanese influence is clearly visible. I would recommend it on that alone without the usually good Boker Plus quality. HH service and delivery was excellent as always.

Of course HH service was exemplary - I rang in my order for 5 knives a torch and a bag at lunchtime yesterday and today I'm writing reviews! This isn't a particularly expensive knife and 440c shows where the money was saved, but I really like it! It's slim, neat, well made, beautifully finished and wickedly sharp! My hands are badly paralysed, but I can still open and close it one handed and when open, it cuts and slices with ease. It's Japanese influences are numerous, but the blade geometry is a subtle tribute. It doesn't share the geomery of a Katana in full, just draws from it. There is little distal taper, until you reach the distinct boshi. There's no sharp boshi line, but the geometry is clear. The subtle, almost straight, but clearly visible curve is reminiscent of many a samurai's tanto. The action is smooth, running on washers and that sets it above the many slip-joints available today. It is small and slim in both blade and handle, but very useable. The flow through design aids practicality. The slim pocket clip is attractive, but could do with being a proper deep carry design, thus only showing a very pen like clip in a pen pocket in shirt, jacket or briefcase. I can see it joining my everyday carry rotation.

Love this knife. Opening fli*ing mechanism is great and very fiddle worthy. Thin profile makes it super sharp. Much sharper in every day use for quick activities than other EDC knives i've got with thicker blade profiles. I had the wood handle version first which is pretty. The Carbon version I have now is actually a little heavier, which I prefer. Bargain for the money! everyone should get this knife. Most pleased with this knife than i have been with many at much higher prices.

I have been using this knife for a nearly a week and its an awesome. It's smooth and easy to open and close one-handed. The double ball detent mechanism holds the blade from freely slipping and a small friction folder thumb tab holds the blade securely enough for light use incorporating some very effective micro jimping in the thumb position. A previous comment mentions a bad edge but i can confirm mine was a pretty nice edge for a factory grind. I would say on par with my more expensive knives in the same category, although i did put my own polished edge on it immediately. It's a weird steel to sharpen i'm not sure if it was just me but i felt almost no burr when sharpening but it came out razor sharp none the less! It is very light being carbon fibre and even the steel liners have 3 holes in each side to aid further weight loss, being so slim it sits nicely in any suit pocket. I haven't had the knife long enough to comment on edge retention but i have never had a problem with Bokers 440c. I'm very tempted to order another and i don't do that often!

Hi - I received the C/F version of this today - The edge was so badly ground that it resembled a serrated blade - I've already fixed it but beware if you cannot sharpen a blade - I know this is a copy of a custom knife (cos I tried the original but couldn't justify the cost) - The finish is a bit rough but it's £300 cheaper...... Otherwise it is a brilliant pocket knife - I've just ordered the G10 version HH service was fantastic as it always has been

I bought this knife last month as a decent EDC back-up to my Enzo PK70. The knife itself is quite pretty, it has a very Japanese Tanto feel to it, albeit miniaturized! The friction lock is nice and positive and gives out a satisfying 'clack' upon opening and closing, very smooth ball detents secure the friction lock and can be adjusted in friction with a supplied torx allen. The hand and blade size are good, thumb position is comfortable and the serrations on the heel of the spine provide positive feedback that your thumb is securing the blade from closing on you. Only negative is that the edge was very rough and uneven, I had to spend about 45 mins with a Lansky working through 6 grits to even out the secondary bevel (one side was 30 degrees other was 20) that being said, it sharpened with moderate ease denoting a relatively tough cutting edge which you can take all the way up to 6000 grit for a mirror edge that holds well during standard outdoors cutting exercises (bailing twine cutting, box opening etc.) I would recommend this knife, but would also advise some skill in sharpening if you want it like a laser beam.
