The great success of the Boker Plus Tech Tools has resulted in requests for alternative versions. With non-locking blades produced from quality materials such as Sandvik 12C27 blade steel, stainless steel plates and bolted construction and featuring a range of tools including glass breakers, and retractable lanyard holes this range of pocket tools has become a firm favourite.

These Carbon Fibre versions feature polished blades and scales produced from a laminated mix of G10 as a base and a surface of polished carbon fibre resulting in tools not only of unlimited versatility and fine materials, but those that will appeal to EDC users and collectors alike.

The Tech-Tool 1 has a hollow ground blade, a 4Cr13 Glass breaker and pocket clip.

great knife, but i have second thoughts on the carbon fiber scales

Posted by John on 30th Jul 2018

Well made, but the carbon fibre handle is too smooth, no grip, maybe should have gone with the g10 version. I love 12c27 steel, it can get sharp as hell and it looks amazing. On the matter of the screw sticking out, It`s extra long so when you change the clip position, the clips thickness takes up the excess length on the screw, most other manufactures leave that screw missing as you use the one you just took out to replace it. They could have use a tiny blanking plate, so the excess screw length did not look they had used the wrong size screw, I just screwed it all the way in, it does not touch the blade anyway. Thanks John.

    Grant bargain

The knife is superb for the price . Half decent Sandvic steel shaving sharp straight out of the box. Carbon fibre scales on a knife at this this price. The finish on this knife I think is excellent it looks a classic smart gentleman's pen knife

    Nice little knife

Posted by Andrew on 24th Sep 2016

A cracking little pocket knife of the old school. A folding slip joint under the legal limit of three inches, which will be at home in your jeans or in your jacket pocket at work. I put my edge on this blade and find its holding up to the envelopes and boxes I open at work. Also the lighter diy around the garden its not a machete but if you need a small pocket knife that looks good and holds an edge this is up for the job.

    Wobbly blade

Posted by nc on 18th Jun 2016

Bought this a couple of months ago as a n EDC pocket knife. Initial impressions were good, quality felt very good, with no blade movement, nice crisp, tight opening and very sharp blade. The edge disappeared with only light use, but was easy to get back. The main issue came when I tried to carve a point onto a stick. No more than a dozen cuts left the blade loose and wobbling from side to side. I've tried to tighten it up, but to no avail. Maybe I should have not expected much from such a cheap knife, but I have Chinese knives that cost a third as much that have proved more durable and my Kershaw Half Ton is still going strong, though is unfortunately not legal to carry in public. Wouldn't recommend this knife, as, in my opinion, it's not fit for use.

    Perfect!!

Posted by Samuel on 29th Feb 2016

OK, I love this, part of my EDC. pros, blade is VERY secure when both closed and open, which gives you a lot of confidence. Great clip, which sites in the pocket well and overall size; is not to large to carry everyday but still large enough to be practical. Feels far stronger than a standard pocket knife, blade edge is very good out of the box.

    Not bad but not amazing

Posted by Chris on 1st Feb 2016

I bought this knife as I wanted a modern looking, non-lcoking folding knife with a pocket clip. Basically a modern gentlemans UK-friendly EDC. Over all this does tick those boxes and it is a nice knife. The clip is good, the blade is a nice size and shape, it is fairly lightweight and it came out of the box sharp. The slip joint locking is fine too. If anyone is interested there is no half stop - It's open or closed. There is some side-to-side play though which is not so great (I'll come back to that) but really for a light duty knife this isn't a disaster. Being able to reverse the clip to tip-up carry is good too as is the clip tension. There are however some dissapointing factors too. Firstly the handle scales - They look great in the picture but in truth the carbon finish is basically crap. Perhaps better than just G10 (I'm not sure), what you get is a smooth laminate that is glossy-smooth and offers no grip or nice feel/texture. The laminate on mine is also pinched where one of the screws goes through too, though this is probably the least of it's worries as I can't imagine it will be a long lasting finish. Time will tell. Second problem is the pocket clip screws which also hold the knife together (well two do - they are two differet sizes). It's not the worst way of doing things but the fit could be better. The blade installation is not great with this and even with the pivot done up too tight there is still a little blade play. As I said above though I can live with it on a cheap/light duty knife like this. What is bad is the recess for the pocket clip which is very poorly finished (raw G10 I guess, but there is some glue overrun or something on one side of mine). Lastly the glassbreaker - Not really a problem but a fairly pointless addition. Over all though I do like the knife. For £26 it's not a bad deal and if you get the G10 version that's a fiver less. I was torn between giving it three or four stars but stuck with three. It looses one for the cheap laminate and screw desigh/blade play. If mine didn't have the imperfections on top of that then I'd have said four. Hope this is helpful to someone.

    it is what it is

Posted by andrew on 15th Jan 2016

for the price i should not be complaining but my one arrived with cracked /crushed scales at the middle pin its not really bad but it is enough to loose a star it is a very slippery scale also and the back strap (raw unfinished)does not match the pocket clip and blade (polished) other than that its a good knife for the money and i would recommend for the edc users but not the ocd collectors so four stars from me
