The Boker Plus Mini Tracker, designed by Dave Wenger, impresses as an extremely stable outdoor knife with a substantial blade made of 1095 carbon steel, which has an excellent corrosion protection thanks to the abrasion resistant powder coating.

The custom knifemaker from Michigan already craved knives, axes and swords as a small boy and followed in his grandfather's footsteps from an early stage in his life. This is how the long-time blacksmith became the teacher of his inexperienced but extremely ambitious grandson, who has now been designing and manufacturing knives full-time for many years.

The front-loaded blade of the solid survival knife has two different sharpening levels and is ideal for chopping, cutting, scraping, digging and levering. The optimum balance of the blade thickness and length, as well as the ergonomic shape of the finely textured Micarta handle scales, allow fatigue-free working.

Supplied with belt adapter and precisely fitting Kydex sheath, the decorative hollow brass rivet also serves as a lanyard hole.

A decent budget tracker with good build quality and usable size, would recommend.

    Boker+ mini tracker

Superbly presented chunk of carbon steel with a micarta handle, rattle free ktdex sheath in a presentation box. A functionally iconic tool at a great price. The size and ergonomics are just right and it's Rambo sharp out of the box.

    Boker Plus Mini Tracker

Well I've always been intriqued by this knife but the Tops price always put me off. This one from Boker is an absolute steal at the price. 1095 and an excellent kidex sheath with Micarta scales. Great value.I stripped the coating on mine and took the hollow grind to 30 degrees inclusive and thinned out the convex edge. First use in the woods was a bit mixed.I'm used to taking a Kukri and an Elver 85 which both work better at their roles than this knife. I'ts just a whole new concept for me and will take time to get used to. Just buy one if you're curious. Its less than £60 and top quality materials.

    BOKER PLUS MINI TRACKER

    Posted by Druid799 on 8th Oct 2020

Always been fascinated by the tracker ’type’ of knife but no way I could pay the price they are (i do think Dave’s own two look so much nicer than the tops model) . This came along and I jumped at it , as it’s Boker i wasn’t concerned it’ll be a lemon at such a low price , have a fair few Boker knives already and have more than met my expectations . AND I wasn’t disappointed ! even though not had a chance to test it properly due too lockdown just from a brief play with it feels very comfortable in the hand , balance feels really good wether swinging from the wrist for chopping or choking up for some fine cutting Making a couple of feather sticks . Do agree the spines not much use for sparking from a fire rod due it’s shape but me personally I prefer to use a separate steel for that task any way so no biggie. Can’t wait to get out and do proper field test (as apposed to a garden test !) Worth the money ? Most definitely ! Me personally I think even with much higher price still be worth it . All I need now is to get cracking on a nice leather sheath for it .

    £60 = Boker Plus Mini Tracker v. £210 = Tom Brown Tracker 2

Posted by Thomas on 6th Oct 2020

£60 = Boker Plus Mini Tracker v. £210 = Tom Brown Tracker 2 I've massive respect for the TOPS brand, but this knife seriously delivers at at almost a quarter of the price of their Tops TB2. Weight and size compared - they're pretty much identical. Added bonus here though - no bullshit saw, ...tent peg maker ...whatever! I can't fault the quality of this knife. From sheath to handle, Boker have delivered.

Just had a look at these on Dave Wengers site. They are made to order and cost $575 so the Boker version which looks identical is an absolute steal. He also does a larger version which is over $700 so I hope Boker do this as well.

    Great for the price

Posted by Chris on 2nd Oct 2020

Do like it when Boker offers a collaboration, been looking at the original on Instagram for while and can not justify the price but this is a steal. For Micarta handles, kydex sheath and 1095 us Brits pay a higher price for BK’s, Esse and the such than our American cousins. So to have all of the above for this price is great. And it doesn’t disappoint, again for the price. The blade geometry is arguably closer to the original than other offerings, and certainly has a nice little hook to that blade. There is a rounded spine (to the front end) and coating to the blade so you will have to live without one or both to strike a steel. I like the rounded spine as it’s comfy and will do less harm to your baton. However the scallop portion is ground flat. Only negative is that fit and finish is Boker plus standard, It’s a good useable knife that punches way above its weight, having made my first fire already! As ever great service from all at HH

    Boker Plus Mini Treker

Posted by Tony Jedi of The Forest on 1st Oct 2020

As HH out of stock still I picked one up from another supplier whose price was higher and delivery time much longer. I wanted the Tops SXS but could not get one so as this is a similar size and design I went for this. Fit and finish is excellent anD feels great in the hand. As I am suffering from Long Covid I can’t get outdoors yet to give it a proper tryy out but first impressions are very good. What a bargain.

    BOKER PLUS/Wenger MINI TRACKER

    Posted by J N Loftus on 19th Sep 2020

Just get one. Especially, if like me, you are intrigued by tracker type blade shapes and don't want to commit a three figure sum to experiment with one. The 'Mini" in the title is critical as this lacks the heft of larger tracker knives. It will not replace your hatchet but the handle ergonomics comfortably accommodate a two finger snap-cut hold. It limbed some sycamore and broke down some ash kindling surprisingly well. I am still unfamiliar with this geometry but it notched a hearth board nicely and feathered adequately. I have ground the the scalloped portion of the spine to 90º and it now showers ample sparks and raises good tinder. The tang lacks the taper of the custom version but it would be churlish to complain at this price. Delighted to own this tool and HH delivered a Friday PM order by Saturday morning.
