The Baladeo Billhook Electrician's Knife is a hefty bit of kit which is just at home in a work situation or in the garden.

The billhook blade is made from stainless steel and opens via a nail nick. It is also non-locking with a 7.0cm cutting edge so is classed as UK legal carry. The chunky handle is made from Pakkawood and fills the hand very nicely. A bail is attached for a handy means of carry on your belt or pack.

Tactile. I can't put it down; not only does the wood look good, it has a fantastic texture. Not razor sharp (but easily fixed, thanks Lansky) but sharp enough to cut me without pain (mind your fingers when closing!). One star dropped for two reasons: blade-play (small and expected - look at the blade:pivot ratio), and a scratch on the blade (not a real problem, I'll put more of those on with use). Top delivery and service from HH as always.

Big blade, seems ok quality overall but the blade petrudes way out from the handle when closed, not a comfortable knife to hold

This is excellent for the price it does a fantastic job. I can’t remember a such well made ( not no master class in top quality finishing work) however it is of a incredibly high standard for the value and please watch the vid it is not a SHARP KNIFE well it’s sharp enough to cut you with a bit of pressure. The idea is like a pro electrician knife they are not sharp like razors but sharp enough to do the wiring. Beautiful finish with the wood grips. Don’t think twice if you’re after this kind of knife Just remember it’s not no razor sharp knife it’s an electricians knife!!

First of this order from HH took 6 days to arrive. Covid playing havoc with their reputation of getting your order delivered within 24 / 48 hours. Secondly I'm not an electrician. Have bought 2 off these knives as I think they will be just the thing for clearing moss and crap from between the mono blocks I have in my garden. If they don't work out for this purpose it will be no great loss as they are as cheap as chips. Knife quality for the price appears to be excellent. Even comes in a nice cardboard box. Have paid 10 times this price for a knife which shows up in a plastic zip lock bag, which really, REALLY bugs me.

I bought this on impulse as it popped up whilst I was buying another knife and I thought interesting shape and cheap so why not. I am not an electrician so cannot comment on its suitability for that but as an interesting item for a collection it is outstanding value. I don't want to over hype it as it is a cheap knife but I am very impressed for the price. It cut paper and shaved the hairs on my hand out of the box. I removed the clip (which was simple ) as I found it obtrusive. It is chunky and I measured it to make sure it was uk friendly. Excellent box opener and for the price I can recommend it.
