A truly great folder needs to combine several key features. It needs to be light, comfortable to use, dependable and incredibly nice to look at and play with! The Acta Non Verba A100 combines all those perfectly. Its 3D profiled and contoured GRN scales are both super light, durable and very comfortable to use. The Blade of A100 is made of Magnacut Steel, that gives it amazing edge retention while maintaining superb corrosion resistance and durability. A fully ambidextrous A LOCK secures the whole assembly and ensures safe and very pleasant user experience. A100 also features contrasting red floating backspacer that both works as support for the hand as well as lanyard attachment point.

The ANV button, suitable for both right-handers and left-handers, combines the advantages of a thumb stud with the comfort of a hole in the blade. The center of the opening button is indexed with ANV Lumidot made from Swiss superluminova.

Short, elegant, safe, mountable on both sides, the wired deep carry pocket clip is a celebration of stealth and readiness.

This is my first Acta knife..and it proved to be rather disappointing. The blade is good, the finish perfect, and the opening/closing action is smooth. However, there are a lot of small issues that led to this knife being disappointing overall. The blade is held in place with a bolt on one side..however, the other side is not captive meaning I can neither tighten it, nor loosen it to take the knife apart for servicing. The thumb stud sticks out beyond the spine of the blade. The pocket clip appears to not have been specifically designed for this knife. The wire clip only rests against the handle along one of the wires owing to the curvature of the handles. Also, whilst you wouldn't frequently be swapping the clip around, the screw is held on place by a threaded washer on the inside of the handle that sits freely and it can be annoying trying to hold in place whilst getting the screw to engage. The butt of the handle is angled, but the clip doesn't follow this flow, and it' ends up making the butt square in essence. The clip is positioned near the blade, and I find when swinging the blade closed that the clip pushes my finger tips towards the slot for the blade. Having my fingers behind the close towards the spine provides no grip to confidently swing the blade shut for fear of the whole thing flying out of my hand. The worst thing about this knife is the handle; they flex A LOT. Just gripping the handles to flick the blade open leads to the handle rubbing against the blade. With very little effort, it is possible to get the two side of the handle to flex enough to touch using just your thumb and forefinger.. Having only used the knife for box cutting so far, the handle felt very cushiony. All in all, a great blade with a promising steal let down by all of the above. If not for the wear and tear I've already subjected the knife to, I would really be considering returning it. The A200 model is probably the better choice which has G10 scales at least.
