Waste of money
Didn't fit properly into my sak and when I tried to pull it out the head snapped off. I've now got a rod stuck in my sak that I can't take out or replace. Waste of money.

The rods work well and fit the Victorinox scales well. The problem is the cost which is too high for the product.
Excellent, really easy to use once you get the hang of it.
Great firestarter, yeah it's super thin but it works just fine as long as you are careful and follow the instructions (strike along narrow side only - not along broad side, stabilize with index finger etc.) Out of the 3pack 1 came with the glow in the dark head already shattered, so maybe it was a transport damage, or the plastic is a bit brittle, but without the head you cant put it in a swiss army knife, or rather you could'nt retrieve it anymore, which beats the hole point of the thing Still I'm not going to send it back, 2 go in my swiss army knives as intended and the one without head just lives in one of my fire kits as a backup because the ferrocerium obviously still works
The firefly 3 certainly sparks very well. I haven't tested it with the available tinder. It also fits snugly into my "handyman" knife.
Thank you
A tiny backup ferro rod which is always at hand whenever you're carrying your victorinox SAK. Provided you check out the instruction and videos on how to correctly use it, this tiny ferro rod WILL light decent tinder like fatwood shavings. Use the back of the wood saw and pull the firefly towards you on the NARROW side. This technique is so good, I plan on using it with my normal ferro rods as well. And of course this is also an excellent backup for lighting gas stoves. I'm not sure I'd be happy to use the even smaller fire ant, but the firefly is surprisingly good.
The first one I tried got stuck and the tip broke off. I had to cut a piece of the next one to make it fit. As getting it through customs cost me an extra 11 euros, I'm afraid I'm not happy with this purchase
Great idea perfectly executed. Does the job and completes the SAK.
