Produced in Maniago, the Squeak SLIPIT is a Spyderco
non-locking one-hand open, clip carry folder called a
SLIPIT. It's designed for legally-restricted carry in areas
where locking folders are prohibited.

The blade is ground full-flat and made from Austrian
Bohler-Uddeholm's N690Co steel. N690C0 is high-
carbon steel with added cobalt for structural uniformity
resulting in enhanced edge retention and sharpening
receptivity. Textured jimping is machined from the
blade's spine and choil for increased slip resistance.

The Squeak's blade is held in the open position when
cutting by a notched-joint at the knife's pivot. When
closing the blade, the notch generates resistance
functionally similar to traditional slip-joint penknife
and performs the additional function of smoothing the
motion of the blade opening. Increasing control and
comfort Spyderco designers add a deep finger choil,
naturally jogging the index finger into a position on
the underside of the blade directly below the thumb.
Positioning the index finger in this choil blocks the
blade from accidental closing when cutting and
provides a grip position that allows the user to choke-
up closer to the cutting edge for greater dexterity.

The handle is FRN (fiberglass reinforced nylon) and
engineered for user comfort whether in the hand, with
ergonomic handle texturing, or in the pocket with a
reversible tip-up deep pocket wire clip.

Spyderco is very proud to support Guardians of the
Ribbon/Pink Heals Tour and the "Cares Enough to Wear
Pink" programs by donating a portion of the sales of
their pink-handled knives. Founded in 2007 by retired
firefighter Dave Graybill, this amazing charity focuses
on providing direct care to women battling all forms of
cancer. The Pink Heals Movement, best known for its
fleet of pink fire trucks and police cars, tours the U.S.
visiting women and children cancer patients,
determining their most critical needs, and coordinating
local resources to meet those needs. Pink Heals also
recruits the support of tax-based services and
community leaders to ensure continued support of
women battling cancer by the donations staying local
to the community it was raised in. Most importantly,
Pink Heals applies 100% of all the donations they
receive to direct care for the women it serves,
providing immediate, tangible support to those who
need it most. All the charity’s operating expenses are
paid for by sales of pink shirts bearing their
organizational logo. These shirts are also the
foundation of the "Cares Enough to Wear Pink"
campaign—a national campaign intended to increase
the focus on women as one of the world’s most
precious resources.

    Spyderco Squeak

Posted by TONY. on 11th Nov 2022

I'm always happy to support charity, but truthfully I purchased pink because I have a habit of losing tools. It's really easy to spot if you drop it or just put it down. Also non threatening colour.I would have given five stars but the slip joint isn't the strongest. Absolutely everything else about this knife is spot on.. It fits your hand well and can be forced into tough work with ease. I never knew I needed the pocket clip until now, and now I would by a knife without one. It clips the edge of any pocket and stays there for when you need it. You won't even know it's there until you need it. I've had problems sharpening it but have now given it a thorough sharpen at 15 degrees. It's now shaving sharp, and will shred a tomato easily into see through slices without a pip going anywhere. For tougher jobs you can get your thumb on the top and really put some force into the job. In short this knife will live in your pocket un noticed until you need it, and will more than cope with what ever you ask of it.. Although it's not a locker, you won't miss that feature, the slip joint works well.

Great knife but what's with the price jump? ! ? !

Posted by Nick on 3rd Oct 2017

This is a brilliant little knife! Larger than expected (pleasantly so) and most definitely big enough for my urban EDC tasks. Love the pink colour, hope it will make the knife more office friendly. Don't know if this is a result of the 2017 Budget we've just had but last week I bought this from Heinnie Haynes for around £52. Post Budget it is now £83.95!!! That's a hell of a price jump! I love my Spydrcos but this price for a small non-locking blade with a FRN handle is getting a bit silly! (My wife would say £52 was a silly price but that's another story) Heinnie Haynes customer service was amazing as always.

    Amazing EDC knife

Posted by Milo on 6th Oct 2016

Because of the size and Colour of the knife, I have decided to buy one for my wife. I must admit I was more than impressed with the knife when it has arrived. Great finish, very comfortable handle , very practical opening and closing, excellent quality blade. My wife is very happy with it, using it at work as a backup for opening cardboard boxes, and love's the pink on the handle :-) . If I wouldn't have 3 EDC knife's I would get one more for myself.

    Cute

    Posted by G on 15th May 2015

"Cute" is probably one of the last words one would think of when describing a knife, but this is a cute knife. It looks cute and even sounds cute with a name like "Squeak". This is a fine little knife and probably one of the best options available for UK Legal carry. The blade is excellent. Fine steel that comes razor sharp and holds its edge well after some heavy use at work. Like the Boker Subcom (another good option in the small knife catagory), this is one of those "little big" blades. It may be small, but it performs well above its weight. It is a comfortable knife to hold too. The scales offer a decent amount of grip and if you have medium sized hands, you can just about get a three and a half finger grip on the handle. Being a Spyderco, deployment is just fine, obviously, with the thumb hole and as a slipjoint, the back spring is good. The tension wire pocket clip is great and is quite rightly well loved in the knife world. According to Spyderco, a portion of proceeds from the pink handled knife go to cancer research charities. I do not know if that is also the case if they are purchased from this site, but it nice to know regardless. If you are looking for a UK legal knife that is not going to make the general public run a mile and call the police on you if you happen to use it in the open, there aren't too many better options outside of the Squeak. The Boker Nano and Subcom (particularly if you get them in orange or green) are also really good choices in the small knife catagory.

    Another gem from Spyderco

Posted by Chris on 23rd Feb 2013

Lovely little knife. Held off buying one earlier as I knew the first batch had problems with the blade hitting the backspring. This is probably one of the least threatening legal carry knives around and even more so in pink. I would feel much more comfortable taking this out in public than my ukpk. Top notch from Spyderco.
