I got my knife very quickly,as per usual HH service!,but to be totally honest,I was not impressed with this knife what so ever....
I would of sent it back, but as I have the tools to sort it,I kept it.
First off,the scales looked nothing like those in the photo, and they were way too small for the tang, and one of the two pins stuck way out from the scales.so TBH the knife was unusable, unless you like blisters!.
A quick tidy up on the linisher sorted those problems out mind,so all that was left to sort was the blade, and the overall finish.
Much sanding and many coats of Antiquax on the scales bought those up quite nicely though.
The blade itself was a PITA!.It was blunt when I got it (Well, blunt to me,I like all my blades shaving sharp),and it needed properly re-grinding to 20-25 degrees, which I used both a Lansky and Edge Pro sharpening systems to achieve, then lots of stropping on a home made strop,to make this blade REALLY sharp.
The sides of the blade, and pommel itself was also pretty manky, but I sorted that with a microfibre, and Peek polish. So now they really shine.
It took a lot of work, but this blade now looks, and acts like it costs a LOT more.
Would I recommend a first time user to buy one as their first 'Bushcraft' knife?,hell no!,go get yourself a Mora Robust,or even an Opinel No 9!,but,if you know what you are doing, and have the tools,go for it!,you will end up with a decent knife, that looks like it costs much more than it does.
