The Real Steel Heinnie Haynes® Luna Red G10 has a friend...the same Luna with red G10 handle but with a black blade!

This lovely little UK carry folder joins the ever increasing collaborations between Heinnie Haynes and some of the best knife manufacturers in the world. The Luna was a winner as soon as Real Steel brought it out, it's impressive streamlined and functional design made it a very popular choice with users and collectors alike. And of course it is non-locking with a sub three inch blade so can be carried in the UK.

The blade is made from black coated D2 which is incredibly sharp out of the box and is a hard resilient steel so won't need sharpening very often. It has a pocket clip and lanyard hole for carry options and to customise.

    Real Steel Luna Heinnie Haynes

Posted by Paul on 13th Sep 2024

Nice light edc pocket knife. Mine had a nice smooth action with a medium strength snap to the slipjoint mechanism in both the 3/4 stop and open position. It' was nice and sharp, but I will echo that the point seems pretty thin so care to be taken. But to me this more a knife for light tasks such as opening packages, peeling an apple, cutting some string etc. For that, it's perfect.

    Luna

Its only a 3 star review and you are probably gonna gasp considering everyone rates these knives but for me I really didn't think it was all that! When I received the knife it felt rough on operation, something I'm not used to even when buying a 20 quid rough rider knife but thought it would loosen up. It has loosened up a bit but not really that smooth considering everyone seems to rave about these in either youtube reviews or on here. After having it in my pocket a few days one thing I can give it credit for and thats a screaming sharp edge! As I use the knife though I can't help fretting I'm gonna snap the tip off as its very thin and pointy definitely not made for heavy duty tasks. I think this knife will do a rotation with the others but it's not a favourite and top spot for me is still the Kizer zipslip, Kizers knife quality are very good for the money and anddefinitely worth considering.

Super sleek, high quality knife. This product is worth more than the asking price.

Real Steel Luna HH black blade

Carries well with the excellent clip. Thin slicey edge, looks easy to snap so care taken. Grippy and light, we likes it.

    Incredible thin D2 steel.

Posted by Wayne Wright on 27th Jul 2023

The Knife is sharp out the box, the nice bright G10 scales are very striking, but it's the thin D2 steel that really surprised me, this is a knife for opining boxes and not much else if you did use it on harder tasks that blade would easily snap, as there is just no thickness there to punish the knife. I think £30 for amount of steel you get, it should be more £20. It's nice to look at and open boxes but that's pretty much it.

Very good knife, sharp out the box. Shame the clip cannot be moved to the left side of the scales.

    Not Bad

Posted by Wayne on 14th Mar 2023

D2 steel, with G10 scales for £30, not bad at all, very sharp out the box. The steel is not very wide, and it is very thin, but for £30 it's about what you should expect. It's a nice EDC.

Beautiful but extremely hard to open.

Posted by P BELL on 29th Mar 2021

I have watched more than a few reviews of this knife and they seem to think the groove on both sides is a fuller (to reduce weight), but they are wrong as it is for attaching thumb studs (I added 2 - extra weight). The looks and feels gorgeous. I added Essexman 40 Cal. Four Cord Lanyard (shame it's in stainless steel and not brass)
