This knife is beautiful & elegant in its style & manufacturing standard, I would say it's in the same class as my linder original bowie, which I also got from Heinnie, I might well buy the buck 120 if Heinnie offer a discount lof it Haha. . Again very fast next day delivery cant be faulted., thanks again.

    First Class

I looked at the reviews on here, about how you could shave with some of the knives straight out of the box, and thought, “Yeah, right!” I opened my Buck Special five minutes ago, and my left arm is now completely hairless. I can’t believe the amazing service from Heinnie Haynes, I placed my order, and 22 hours later, the knife arrived at my door. Nothing exceptional you may think, but I should mention that I live 300 miles away! One thing puzzles me, when everyone says that you shouldn’t keep knives in leather sheaths to avoid rust, why do we not get the option of a sheath made from something more blade friendly?

    First follow up

Well its been over a year since I got the Buck 119. The phenolic handle is fantastic, it will stand a lot of punishment and not have a scratch. As for the blade shaving sharp from the box Buck 's usual standard. Equally at home in the kitchen as in the field. Even the Puma white hunter can't match it. Interestingly I remember a time when they were both roughly the same price £36.00 from my local gunsmith in Elgin (the 1970s) now look at the difference!!! Yes I would have a P WH . But first I'd have a B119 as they say It does what it says on the tin. More reviews to follow.

    A Second Skin

Posted by Nick fae the hills on 24th Dec 2015

Just got this awesome knife, Excellent service from HH and the Royal Mail order arrived next day.As it is new to me I will give a follow up review soon . But for now I will say that the sheath is great thought it might not be as I am used to the old classic fold over style which I sadly miss kept the knife very secure . But full marks to Buck as it is extremely well made good wrap around fastening and hangs very comfy on the belt . So until the I use it that is all I can say for now.

    Great place to visit!

Posted by Gianni on 13th Aug 2015

Went to the HH place of business today and bought a Cobolo handled Buck 119... Lovely! Excellent customer service and excellent value. The Gent serving me took time to take me through the choices of knife that I was looking at in my price range. He brought out a selection to compare and gave his views. My next purchase will be a Buck Heritage 120 (or bigger?)) or maybe a Damascus of some kind. No hesitation in going back to HH to have a look first and feel the goods before I buy.

    Good value for money, but....

Posted by Ian on 17th Sep 2013

There is no way that anyone could complain about this knife at this price. It is a solid performer and will be a good everyday workhorse. However, I do have a couple of minor gripes; like others, I too noticed what seems to be shoddy clean up of machine marks in various places. Also, the grind is a bit rough and ready and would benefit from a good strop to really bring out the best. Lastly, a few folks have commented on it's "razor sharpness", but let me assure you that this blade is NOT that sharp. It is functionally sharp but it is not in the same league as most Spyderco or Fallkniven blades and is far cry from being as sharp as a razor. All in all though, a good little knife and as usual, excellent service from Heinnie.
