The Black Fox Bean Gen 2 is a Serge Panchenko design for Black Fox knives. Available in three handle materials; Zebra wood, stainless steel and G10, this is a UK friendly carry pocket knife of superb quality and innovation.

The excellent functionality of the flat stainless steel slipjoint is packaged in a reduced design with clear lines. The modified sheepsfoot blade of 440C has an oval thumb hole for easy opening and a pocket clip on the back (tip-up) adds to the knife's practical functionality.

What is even more impressive is the low price for a knife of such excellent quality.

    Excellent knife

Posted by Harris on 26th Jun 2018

Pretty excellent knife. One problem I had however, is that after a while, the wooden scale wore away slightly, and the liner was slightly smaller. Meaning the stud was no longer making contact with the wood. This resulted in a small but still annoying amount of play. Other than that, can't fault it and will probably buy the metal handled one very soon.

    Small & D*dly

Posted by Dual Blade X on 15th Jun 2018

You can't beat these prices ! I purchased the olive wood one and I'm surprised about the quality and detail that goes into this knife. Super easy to carry and very light in pocket., I usually wear joggers so I hook these to my underwear and I don't feel a thing. Comes very sharp out of the box, not to be messed around with ! This little thing is d*dly

    Perfect Edc knife for me

Posted by Sam on 26th Apr 2018

When I saw these go up for sale on the website I knew I had to buy one, as soon as I unboxed the knife I could tell a lot of work went into making it. I work in a office as well as a carer (both places I need a knife for opening a lot of parcels+mail). But due to the environments where I work there isn't blades accessible to me. So I need a office friendly blade that doesn't raise an eyebrows. This is perfect, smallish blade, fits nicely into any trouser pocket and has a friendly blade shape. Had a few compliments around the office already, which is nice.

Close to perfect for edc, but not quite.

Posted by Adrian on 15th Apr 2018

Let's get the not quite bit out of the way first, I don't like pocket clips so the first order of business is to take them off, however, this bad boy is thread locked on and it's tough! It took heat and two TX7 bits to do it! Now the good bits, build quality is excellent, quite sharp out of the box and the value for money is excellent. And yet again HH service is fantastic.

    Ideal for UK EDC

Posted by Ben on 13th Apr 2018

This little thing is great. Nice stone washed finish. Reasonably sharp out the box. Very good steel choice given the price point. Well centred blade. I really like the blade thickness to size ratio. Similar to a Spyderco techno which would be my ideal edc is it wasn't for the law around locking folders. My only real criticism is the clip. If it had a deep carry wire clip (like the techno) it would be nearly perfect all things considered. In fact I like it so much that a few days after I bought it I bought a spare in case I ever lose it. If you're thinking about getting one you won't regret it. Excellent HH service as usual.

Looks amazing, really satisfying click when opening and closing. Wish the pocket clip was slightly deeper

    Great Little Knife

Posted by The Fashionable Deerstalker on 8th Mar 2018

Like others here I came for something else and left with this knife. I got the plain metal one. I am very happy with this great little knife. A very positive slip joint, a helpful thumb notch, and the blade is a useful length (for a UK friendly knife). The blade shape is good--not too thick to make apple slicing difficult, not so thin I worry about breaking it. It's small and less intimidating to the muggles who lose their mind when you wield a pen knife ("ermagherd is that a knife!"£$%???"). It has heft but is still comfortable in the pocket. My new EDC (in place of a Boker+). Well worth it.
