Bastion Bolt Action Stainless

Wasn't sure I could justify spending best part of £40 on a pen, but having read the reviews decided to give it a try. So glad I did ! This has to be the most over engineered pen ever, but it works well. Feels like you could hammer it through a brick wall. The build quality and finish are amazing, precision stuff. Fitted a Fisher refill, job done. Bomb proof writing tool. You won't break this beast. Bolt action works very well. This pen will outlive you if you don't lose it.

the machined finishing is exemplary and it writes all good also, it feels class in hand but it is quite weighty so if you have smaller slender hands this might not be the best option,

This is a heavyweight engineering masterpiece. Feels great to write with and the bolt action mechanism is industrial in feel and a tactile pleasure to use. If you want a pen that will easily outlast you and appreciate quality craftsmanship then this is a must buy!

Great quality pen, very heavy to hold and really nice to write with. If you're thinking £40 is too much for a pen, so did I.. but its worth it

This pen is the end of all pens for me. I'm 52, and have finally found my perfect pen - I keep it next to a stainless steel Parker Jotter which I had in school back in the 1980s. One reviewer said it does not take Parker refills - it does, you just have to wiggle it a bit to get it into the main body of the pen. And you WILL need a refill - don't bother to use the inferior one it comes with. I have not tried the Fisher Space pen refill yet, but as this is designed to fit Parker pens if you use the adapter that these refills come with, it should not be a problem. Yes, this pen is heavy - VERY, VERY HEAVY, but I would not have it any other way.

This is a great pen, comfortable with a nice weight and writes smoothly, exactly what I expected.

I don’t think I’ll Ever have to buy another pen. Should there ever be a Nuclear way all that will be left is a few Cockroaches and this pen! Amazing Quality. Bolt action works perfectly. Pen body is flawless. Cant praise it enough.

I have had other various pens and my last one I still like. But there's something about the finish on this and the weight that I love. Stainless steel, weighty, shiny, one hand operation... This is great. Also, as a side note it's possible to shine it up even more because I am exploring modifying it to add a ceramic ball bearing in the top and my initial attempts I scratched the top a bit. So I ran it around and around on a strop with compound on it and it's even shinier than the rest of the pen... so if you have the time you could remove the clip and REALLY shine the whole thing up if you care to. You cannot hardly see where the end unscrews too, which really aids the visual look. I recommend you use Renaissance Wax on metal things like this because it adds a lovely additional feel to the pen/item. I have waxed this pen and it is even nicer than before. Epic and well worth the money. Use the fine model of Fisher space pen refills, they are the best, write smooth, for a long time and is a more secure ink which is radically more difficult for criminals to tamper with once you have written something (think doctoring cheques...) So, I really love fisher refills in my pens. If it can't take fisher, I don't buy. period. Super pen, at a good price. Feels great.
