The Winkler Knives II Blue Ridge Hunter Tribal has similar attributes to the WK II Belt Knife, but in a more compact size. It measures 20 cm (8") overall length with a 10 cm (4") blade. This design has a full, skeletonised tang with Winkler Knives II engraved on the backspine. The Maple wood handle scales have decorative designs carved into the wood with lanyard hole for your favoruite lanyard. The blade has a no-glare Caswell finish and is supplied with a felt lined moulded kydex sheath.

Good all rounder

Only had the blade a week so can’ only give a review so far. So the blade came shaving sharp out the box, sharper than my previous winkler (maybe they’ve worked on feedback) the blade it’s self is very strong and robust for its thickness, is held an edge really well, I’ve processed some red meat and a fish with it and it’s very good for that. I’ve used it for basic camp tasks such as feather edging,Rope and chord cutting. So far so good as stated only a week in but I’d happily recommend this item.

Where to start; this has immediately become one of my top knives, in the hand it feels amazing, it somehow expertly walks the tightrope of feeling sturdy, yet light and agile. The sheath is amazing, it came with an improved clip compared with the one shown in the photos but didn’t include all the accessories that are shown. Despite not having the extras, the sheath is very flexible in the way it can be configured. If you are all thinking about pulling the trigger this, just do it, you’ll thank yourself later It now turns out the best part about working from home is being able to “EDC” this.
