    Good but annoying!

Posted by singleagain on 3rd May 2023

I bought this knife back in January, and it has been my preferred EDC ever since. BUT - that pocket clip! Yes, very clever, but a real pain. I have been considering adding a splosh of Locktite to stop it moving. The money would have been better spent on making it reversible for us lefties. But it's still a great knife for the money.

    Terrific value for money

I bought the Tekut Zero on a whim, simply because it is really cheap and had some good reviews. As a bit of a collector I was surprised to find that I hadn't bought a knife since July 2022, so this was well overdue! This is an excellent little knife - fit and finish is great, very light and sharp out of the box. I really like the smooth line from the handle to the blade spine - very like the CJRB Centros or the Kershaw Dividend. And I do like a 'pointy' blade! The clip is clever, but I would have preferred it to be reversible being left handed. All in all this is a great value package which has replaced my Ontario RAT 2 or Byrd Tern as my EDC. It just needs a bit of gimping at the back of the spine to be perfect. Get one while you can!

    Fidget factor knife

Posted by Londinium Armoury on 3rd Apr 2020

This knife would have got 5 stars from me if the steel was a little harder from the factory on the apex. If you don't mind sharpening then you won't care because your own edge after removing apex fatigue will always yield superior steel underneath the machined factory edge. But it did come sharp and the sandvik is a nice clean steel to sharpen it just lost its razor edge a bit too fast for my liking, that is my only complaint I have about this knife, but at sub £30 it really wasn't a deal breaker for me as id have to sharpen any knife eventually anyway, no knife stays sharp forever. This knife is so fun to play around with and once broken in the deployment is so smooth and enjoyable. I really play with this knife quite a lot, not just for the deployment either, I find the pocket clip very fun to click as well, the detent ball in the pocket clip makes a very satisfying sound, it's a double ended fidget toy for big kid, very light as well but the G-10 handle scales are actually really tough, I tried to squeeze them and deformt hem when I felt how light it was, but I seriously couldn't damage this knife even when trying to. It is my lightest folder I own, the blade has no play at all, rock solid lock up. I am impressed with this knife Sam who designed it has done a good job. It's refreshing to see Chinese companies designing their own original knives and not cloning other makers work, that is the best thing about this knife, it is an original design from a Chinese knife designer, I respect that.

    pleasantly surprised

Bought this knife to replace a worn out work knife, and to be honest, i didn't have high expectations. How wrong i was...the tekut zero is a solid, honest knife that is up to practically any task, its solid frame lock and sturdy blade make it much more than a work knife. As for the guys at heinnie, faultless to a tee, ordered late thurs and it arrived sat am, didn't even specify sat delivery. Top work guys.

    The best for under £20!

Posted by JockOfAges on 13th Mar 2017

The usual delivery speed from HH , so never a complaint there. A super lightweight knife, with no liners except for the locking liner. Easy to clean with the flow through design handle. I like the 12c27 Sandvik steel i have on other knives, so we'll see how this fairs, the pocket clip is deep carry with a secret even deeper carry by sliding it up/out. G10 scales, if i didn't say already. For £20 you are getting a bargain, i've bought knives costing 5x as much and didn't have the quality of this lil Tekut Zero. I'm guessing that the price will go up, so get 'em while you can.

    Very nicely done

Well I must say that they have made a little cracker with this one. It is beautifully made and not out of substandard materials. The price Is rather jaw dropping for the quality of the product. Only one thing that could be a nugget of frustration is the belt clip! It is a great piece of innovative genius but it could become a bit of a frustration if it moves on it's own. Honestly though that would not stop me or it shouldn't stop you from getting this knife plus it is a first run so a knife collectors dream bonus.
