Rugged construction and modular adaptability are the foundation of the TAD FAST platform, helping you conquer the routine, the unexpected and everything in between. Combining the best of military design and mountaineering ergonomics, FAST Packs are built to be your trusted companion for adventures close to home or missions far away.

The FAST Pack Scout combines the ruggedness and modularity of the FAST platform with the weight and agility of a minimalist summit pack. At 15 liters in volume and 1 kilogram in weight, the Scout's agile profile and flexible storage options make it the perfect companion when you need to move fast.

Compact and capable, the Scout features a full-clamshell main compartment and a versatile full-depth 3D admin pocket. Despite its sleek exterior, the Scout retains compatibility with TAD's FAST Transporter Tails for end-user adaptability. A full-depth, inverted front pocket can stow a Transporter Tail when not needed, and allows gear segregation and swift access. Internally, an integrated mesh hydration sleeve and a full-height zippered mesh pocket provide flexible storage options for daily carry gear.

Modular

The sleek exterior is compatible with FAST Transporter Tails, supporting additional storage and compression, as well as providing an optional PALS platform. Internal hanger tabs allow for the attachment of additional accessories such as the Control Panel 1. The Scout includes a removable 1" stability belt.

Comfortable

Made with a unique high pressure nitrogen gas solution process, aerated closed cell foam padding aids in superior shock protection and comfort. Polyester and nylon mesh aid in ventilation on the shoulder straps and back panel of the pack. The mesh also creates a softer surface to decrease wear and tear on your apparel. Engineered suspension geometry and a HDPE framesheet enable the pack to ride higher on your back. Load lifters allow the load to be pulled into the body for maximum comfort.

Universal

Sized to fit a wide range of torso lengths comfortably and minimize interaction with gear worn around the waist.

Durable

Made of MIL-SPEC Invista™ Cordura® fabric, a high tensile strength composite nylon thread and webbing that’s nearly impossible to rip or tear. Hypalon, the same material found on Zodiac boats, was used to reinforce critical stress points on the pack, such as the handle, shoulder strap connection points, and top exit port for the hydration tube.

    Good bag but accessories unobtainable

Posted by EDM on 3rd Aug 2020

Can fault the construction but it’s slightly too small for my every day needs. It always seems to be packed tight and I have to fully open it up to get things out. But my biggest complaint is that the Transporter tail is unobtainable in 2 years. I’d really like to attach pockets to the outside and pack jackets etc behind the tail but i can’t get hold of one anywhere. Good bag but without being able to expand, it’s expensive for its size. I regret this purchase.

    A discrete, exceptionally constructed bag.

Posted by NL on 29th May 2018

I have a weakness for everyday carry. My small backpack rotation previously consisted of a TAD Litespeed, Goruck 20l Shadow Ruck, a Bedouin Foundry Pequod and a Mystery Ranch ASAP (all roughly 20 litres capacity). Increasingly, I found myself desiring something smaller. I recently acquired a 12.9 iPad pro (which I plan to use as a discrete laptop) and also my children are moving away from bottles and nappies and I was finding the aforementioned backpacks too large and cumbersome for my general needs. Along came the TAD scout. Hooray.....The exceptional team at HH advised me that they Would be getting these in shortly. Eventually, the blessed day came. My initial thoughts when this arrived were: - Meh, this is too bl**dy small. - For something that is supposed to be minimalist, there are webbing straps everywhere. - You have to unclip it to open the bag. This is an outrage!!! After mucking around with the web dominators, straps etc. For about ten minutes I soon changed my mind. This bag is exceptionally well thought out and constructed. It comfortably holds the iPad and has a very sizeable front zip compartment. The interior of the bag is well thought out, with multiple compartments and the opportunity to suspend a TAD control panel using the interior Duraflex slik clips provided. The straps are comfortable and can be quickly adjusted on the fly if needed to sit higher on the back. I added a Transporter tail that I had lying around and this is the first time I have realised how genuinely useful they are. Perfect for carrying a coat or jumper etc. Regarding having to unclip the bag to access its contents...... it is no issue whatsoever and actually, due to the robust nature of the hardware, I would say it actually makes the bag more secure. My only proper gripe after using this bag for a few weeks, is that the chest strap is entirely pointless in a bag of this size and was a bit of a bugger to get off. Nothing major at all. All in all a truly exceptional bag and I would highly recommend it to anyone, even at this price point. In a few short weeks this has (and shall undoubtedly remain my go to bag) and I have had numerous people, strangers, friends and family alike, comment on how much they like it. Highly recommended. Once again, truly excellent service from the HH team.

Waited a while but worth it

Posted by Harry T on 14th May 2018

Clocked this as a perfect day pack for me as soon as i seen it. Contacted HH to let me know when it lands and glad I did, excellent pack laptop sandwich, leads and tools all get swallowed up with ease and its crisp clean libnes blend in to any envitronmnet. I am in and out of officers and it doesnt look out of place (black one) if your in two minds take the plunge its will last you forever.

    Bien mais...

Posted by Dominique on 12th May 2018
