Mark Stotesbury is a designer based in South Africa who hand carves his designs into wax before transferring them in resin moulds which then progress into rubber spin cast moulds. His designs are cast in zinc and then electroplated in Antique Copper and Antique Pewter which gives them an aged finish.

The Stotesbury Greek Hoplite Bead is the perfect accessory for your knife, flashlight, wallet or pack.

    Good bead

Posted by Geoff Roberts on 21st Aug 2024

Being made of plated zinc, I expected this to be short-lived on the lanyard of my beloved Victorinox Waiter. A decade later, it still looks good, with no chips or other damage and the copper plating, if anything, looks better than it did when I bought it. Eventually, I will carve a replacement from the copper roundstock that I bought for this purpose, but this is a very decent bead. Heinnie are, of course, as brilliant as ever!
