Designed by renowned Polish custom knifemaker Marcin Slysz, the Spyderco Spydiechef is an extremely refined folding knife that takes the user-friendly ergonomics and balance of a world-class chef’s knife and translates them into an all-purpose, everyday-carry folder that is impervious to the elements.

A proud member of Spyderco’s Salt Series of ultra-corrosion-resistant knives, the Spydiechef features a gracefully curved blade crafted from LC200N. This state-of-the-art nitrogen-based alloy is extremely corrosion resistant and is actually used by NASA for the ball bearings used in aerospace applications. The blade’s broad profile and full-flat grind create exceptional edge geometry that ensures precise, low-friction cutting performance.

To reduce weight, optimize balance, and simplify cleaning, the Spyderco Spydiechef Titanium features an open-backed handle constructed with two precision-machined solid titanium scales. The reverse-side scale houses a stout Reeve Integral Lock (R.I.L.) mechanism that locks the blade firmly open when in use. For additional security when working around water, the handle also includes a lined lanyard hole for easy attachment of safety lines and lanyards and a reversible deep-pocket wire clip for convenient, ambidextrous carry and quick tip-up access.

An impressive synthesis of custom-quality craftsmanship and advanced corrosion-resistant materials, the Spydiechef offers extreme cutting performance in a package that is immune to even the harshest environments.

    Sensational economics

This is the third Spydiechef I’ve ever bought, there’s a reason behind that clearly. From the solid titanium scales and the super smooth deployment with your thumb, make this perfect every day, Carriy Spyderco.

    One of the best!

Posted by Chris Sims on 7th Jul 2021

Out of all the Spyderco knives I’ve owned over the years (there has been a lot) the spydiechef is by far my favourite carry. From the titanium scales that have been CNC machined to perfection, the solid snappy frame lock which sounds sharp to the amazing LC200N steel on that curved full flat ground blade shape that just blitzes through any food it’s under!! The only slight let down for me is the wire clip which isn’t an issue with the replacement Lynch clip fitted… so that being said it gets 5 stars from me! HH delivers yet another world class service with a world class knife!!!

I recently got the Spydiechef CQI. It is a superb blade. Smooth as butter and zero lock stick. Highly recommend

    Excellent

An elegant folding knife with a steel blade that will never rust and a comfortable titanium handle. The ergonomics of the handle and the blade are excellent, the blade is very sharp and well made, a beautiful solid knife overall.

Such a shame. Could be perfect.

Being made of titanium, the frame lock has the worst lock stick ever. Not just me - G**gle it.

So wanted to like this knife!

Posted by Thomas on 21st Jan 2020

I so wanted to like this folder. Completely rustproof, weighing next to nothing, nice ergos. etc. However, this knife has the worst lock stick I have ever encountered (read - f******* dangerous). This apparently is a common problem with all titanium to steel lock mechanisms, even at £250 quid. Back it went. Heinnie, as always, were great on understanding and refunding.Gutted ;(
