    Great steel

Posted by Matt on 14th Nov 2017

I have had this knife for 6 months now and still love it. Really hard steel that takes some effort to sharpen but stays sharp and holds a great edge. The lock is solid and feels secure. I have small hands and it fits me perfectly.

    Something of a Bargain

Posted by Mike K on 26th Nov 2015

On first opening the box, I was a little underwhelmed to be honest. The British Racing Green scale colour isn't that appealing at first sight and the FRN scales look a bit cheap. Once you have removed the knife from the packaging and examined it more closely, you begin to appreciate the brilliance of the design. The blade is scarily sharp out of the box, easily sharp enough to shave with. The knife cuts through paper almost without a sound, just a gentle swoosh. The scales have steel liners for additional strength and stability and the textured finish should ensure a safe grip even with cold wet hands. Significantly bigger blade than a Delica and if the blade steel lives up to its reputation it should hardly ever need sharpening. The scale colour is actually extremely practical in use, shrugging off dirt and should prove to be very durable over the longer term hiding the effects of discolouration and minor bumps and scratches. It grows on you. The longer handle length over a Delica allows for a more secure grip with heavier cutting tasks. This is actually a real bargain being able to purchase such an exotic blade steel and blade size for under £100.

    Great knife

Posted by Andy on 12th Oct 2015

I already had the Spyderco Dragonfly zdp 189 & decided to buy its larger stable mate. I wasnt disapointed, it fits your hand perfectly & the zdp 189 is razor sharp. The only slight niggle is the pocket clip, the paint chips off quite easily & it doesnt sit as deep in your pocket as the dragonfly, & i ended up buying a deep carry titanium clip off etsy. If you are looking for a sturdy knife with a razor sharp zdp 189 blade, look no further.

    Top quality EDC folder

Posted by AWSM on 4th Aug 2014

As the title says, this is a top quality EDC folder. Perfect size, very comfortable in the hand, and offers exellect traction in several different grips. The grip pattern on the handle scales feel very secure, more so than I thought they would untill holding it myself. The Four different options to mount the clip are a nice touch too, allowing it to be adapted for both left and right handed users. This clip itself fits well into your hand and doesn't feel unnatural either which is nice. As for the blade, the blade shape and size are perfect for EDC use, in my opinion. The edge on the blade is scaple-like sharp, right out of the box. I cannot comment on the Edge retention of the steel.. yet but have high confidence in the ZDP-189 steel. Adding a lanyard is an option for pocket carry if the clip isn't to your tastes, or go for both. Why not. My only minor grip is the colour of the scales, which currently only come in British Racing Green. Hopefully we will be able to purchase the knife in new colours at some point. Top quality service from Hennie as usual, faultless. Highly recommended. -Ed, Portsmouth

This could be the perfect EDC Spidey, light, strong, razor sharp and best of all exotic steel, it has a slight bronze/copper hue, I love it!
