    Lovely knife

    The only small nit I have to pick is that the blade rattles a bit when its in the wooden sheath - a little annoying when you're wearing it on your belt. It could perhaps do with something softer lining the inside. I absolutely love the knife though - it looks fantastic, its got a good weight, nice balance and the blade is strong and sharp. I'm very happy with this buy.

    A wonderful knife that fits so well to the hand. It is hard and takes time to get a good edge but then keeps it's edge so well. Robust and up for the hardest job. a joy to use.

    A magnificent knife, very understated. It fits the hand wonderfuly well and its heft is just right. The quality of the carbon steel coupled with the Rockwell hardness speaks for itself. I can envisage many years of hard use. It is a credit to the Jap art of knife making. The Oak handle is a particular delight, I would like to see the copper banding on the case replaced with leather, may take care of that aspect myself.

    fabulous work knife!

    Been using this knife for a few months now doing various forestry, estate and recently tree surgery work, and despite it's intimidating size it has proved easy to use, making accurate cuts and scores in a variety of green and seasoned timber. Although its a devil to sharpen(pretty hard steel) once honed it keeps a fine working edge and rain and use have only enhanced the look of this already handsome blade. Highly recommended as a multi-purpose work knife
