    Awesome chopper

Posted by Daigo on 2nd Sep 2020

Received today - initial impressions are - what beast of a knife / chopper! Goes through wood like there is no tomorrow. Size matters,. Highly recommended and very good value for the money. Brilliant service from Heinnie as always.

    SCHRADE

Posted by Matthew on 11th Nov 2019

I haven't had a cold steel or Schrade knife that hasn't suprised my expectations yet,
    Especially the One Drops,
They're so well balanced that they're a top throwing knife as well as survival and bushcraft knife

Beware! Check YouTube before yo buy

Posted by Thomas on 26th Sep 2017

The original was designed by Chris Tanner of the 'Prepared Mind 101' YouTube channel and it was designed with a sabre grind. Schrade has recently added a hollow grind to the blade and this make it a lot weaker than the original. If you see a lot of good reviews about this blade, it'll be about the original, not the hollow grind ones. They break tips like billyoh and the heat treat is now very poor. There's a clip on YouTube where Chris breaks 12 tips on the bounce just by stabbing them into a log. Wait until Schrade go back to sabre grind before you buy it.

    Lovin it!

    Avoid

Posted by Adam on 19th Sep 2017

If I were you I'd AVOID this knife if you are expecting it to be indestructible. This WAS one of the most durable knives out there when it was oringinally Designed by Chris Tanner from Prepared Mind 101 on YouTube. This model used to be 'sabre grind' but Schrade changed the design to a 'hollow grind'. Now they snap when subjected to the 'tip test'. You can find multiple videos on YouTube on the issue.

If this is the new hollow grind version (as in the specifications in this listing) it is inferior and a brittle knife which is very dangerous DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

    fantastic

Posted by Iain on 18th Jan 2017

Let's face it this one is not going to win any beauty competition, but once you have cut your first branch you are hooked. It's fantastic!
The ergonometric blade just goes on and on it feels fantastic in the hand and the balance is well¦¦ fantastic.
Add this to your camping kit and you will love it and if you don't I'll give you your money back ( T &C etc¦.. etc¦..)
and did I mention it's FANTASTIC!

    Overpriced

Posted by SuttJ on 14th Nov 2016

This knife is epic, there's no doubt about that. If you're not sure then just do a simple YouTube search and watch the countless reviews praising it. That's not the issue, the issue is the price. This is almost double the cost of this blade from over the pond. It's sad to see what are supposed to be affordable budget entry knives having their prices hiked up behond ridiculous just because they're on sale in the U.K. I'd been waiting until this was on sale here but at that price you can keep it. Disappointing to say the least.

    A beast of a blade

Posted by Alan on 6th Oct 2016

Bought this after seeing a lot of Youtube videos . Was considering a machete or golok but wanted something more multi-purpose. This thing cuts wood, can feather stick and do other tasks really well. A really tough blade, on the heavy side but to be expected from the size of it. The sheath is ok, not the best but can be configured for different way of carrying, a kydex sheath would be better. If you want an all purpose chopping tool I would try it.
