At this price, what more do you want?

Other comparable, yet more expensive and prone to rusting, knives have been described as bargains in this site.

All I'll say is give this one some serious consideration first.

    Cons:

The sheath is terrible. Poorly fitting and pointlessly 'tacticool'. For a knife that otherwise exudes quality, it's a definite let-down.

Handle/grip size. I have XL+ sized hands and even I would struggle to define the grip as comfortable in extended use. However, it's not an item for enduring, detailed work, and the scales could be easily replaced for something more ergonomic.

    Pros:

The fitted scales (as "fat" as they are) offer superb grip, wet or dry.

I cannot picture a task to heavy for this knife (within obvious, real world limits.)

My one was scalpel-sharp out of the pack. It remains so after a month of use.

    Brilliant balance.

Stainless steel rather than carbon. No need for tedious knife "care" every time a rain cloud passes overhead.
I'm not a steel snob though, so whatever tickles yet pickle on that one.

A half-inch thick spine, and all the reassuring dependability that comes with such agricultural dimensions. The phrase "sharpened pry bar" is often used in the description of other knives. It applies well to this one as well, including the tip.

Although it's a large knife with a black blade coating, it looks much more tool-like than 'weapony', and I doubt it would cause much concern in most company. (Again, with the application of rather obvious, discretionary boundaries).

For all its reassuring heft, it can sit on a belt all day without being intrusive.

I don't care who made it, or its country of origin, and with this scale of price-to-practicality, neither should you.

Buy one, use the money you saved to pay for a decent sheath, enjoy it for years.
