The Canoe is a classic design used by many pocket knife manufacturers around the world for hundreds of years. R

ough Rider's Tobacco Road Canoe echoes that history with the addition of high grade stainless steel and a stylish bone handle.

There are two blades, one spear and one pen, both of which are non-locking and under three inches long. The knife can therefore be classified as UK friendly carry at the owner's discretion.

    Lovely knife

Firstly ,service by H.H was fantastic arrived in less than 24 hours of order. The knife is lovely- you can see how much work has gone in to its production. In my view it is a gem with its unique style and construction. It works as a knife too, being razor sharp! Treat yourself or a friend.

Absolutely beautiful little knife, very sharp and keeps it's edge better than far more expensive knives. Nicely weighted and solid feeling in the hand.

    Step up in quality

This is my second Rough Rider canoe, I bought this one just for the looks. Rough Rider seem to have gone a little more up market with this, judging by the presentation and overall finishing of the knife. The knife arrives in a picture box with a magnetic latch about twice the size of my previous RR knives. There is a cutout foam liner holding the knife in a plastic bag. The scales are bone and have been engraved with a cross hatch pattern which is inset with small copper rivets. They are attached with three larger nickel silver(?) rivets and the fit is very good. The metalwork is smooth, and there is no evidence of blade rub on mine at least. The knife has half stops on both blades which open and shut with a decent snap, and the springs are not so strong as to make opening a chore. The base of the main blade on mine had a clump of a black powdery material attached, I couldn't work out if this was a graphite lubricant or some left over polishing compound. There is a tiny bit of sideways play on the main blade (not enough to notice unless you're looking for it) and none on the smaller blade. The blades arrived sharp but a bit rough from grinding and would benefit from a polish on a strop. Overall, I'me very pleased in this knife. It's a bit too pretty to be a daily carry but as I bought it for the looks I'm pleased. It's *much* better than some RR knives I've had - the Dog Bone Jack for example was shocking.
