The Rough Rider Premium Select Trapper is a great way to carry a UK legal pocket knife. Buffalo and Mother of Pearl inlays combined with nickel silver bolsters and brass liners make for a highly attractive folder with as much practical use as it has looks. The back spine is fileworked too. Both blades are made from 440A stainless steel, non-locking and with a cutting edge below 7.6cm.

    Pretty but flawed

Posted by Steve Churchill on 18th Mar 2021

This knife looks amazing for the money. Unfortunately it is let down by a poor grind on the clip point blade and the spey blade is curved so just touches the inner liner. But then it's less than twenty-five quid and more a collector's piece than a user.
