The Rough Rider Dreamcatcher Stockman is very colourful addition to the Rough Rider range here at Heinnie Haynes. Originating from the Ojibawe people, but most well known for their use by Native Americans, Dreamcatchers are used to catch bad dreams, only allowing good dreams to filter through.

Now, we aren’t saying that by buying this knife, you are no longer going to have bad dreams. However, what we can say quite categorically though that this knife will work like a dream (see what we did there). Each of the three blades is made from 440A. The primary blade is a clip point, and the other two are spey and sheepsfoot shaped. Plenty of cutting options available to you with this pocket knife!

In terms of the handle; as you can see from the pictures this is a pretty colourful knife, and definitely not something that could ever be described as tactical. The handle is made from a blend of blue and red turquoise and abalone (a species of sea snail). The result is a bright mix of colour surrounded by two nickel silver bolsters, and a very smart looking UK Friendly Carry knife!

    As expected

The usual quality and value for money we've started to take for granted with Rough Rider. Had my eye on this one for a while now. Lovely materials and finish. So sharp out of the box, I nicked my finger on the spey blade first time I opened it. I'm just enough of an old hippy that I just had to have the Dreamcatcher design. Box was overkill I thought, and pretty wasteful of resources, but I will find some other use for it. This is my first Stockman patterned knife, and now I know I am well equipped if I ever find myself needing to castrate a sheep. The typical miraculous ultrafast Heinnie delivery. Do they have a time machine, or perhaps there is some kind of wormhole they use in Barry island? Five stars, minus a quarter of a star for that ridiculous pointless box. No need to gild the lily like that. Recommended.
